"I don't know how you can be so sure," Nozomi commented with an awkward laugh, "I could have been kicking in there for all I know!"

She pursed her lips and then sighed. "Is it truly nothing or you do not wish me to think about it?"

“If you kicked you display your fire and energy. If you didn’t kick then you were a wise baby biding their time. Either way, one can see the best in a child.”

Looking over after the sigh
“I...uh. It’s not my business what you think Kitsu-san. Besides, I’m sure you would hardly appreciate me telling you to think happy thoughts.”
Trying to sound gentle
“I was just hoping that I could... offer moral support, for everything. One clan mate to another.”

"That kind of makes it all meaningless then," Nozomi commented. She then shook her head. "But I guess all parents should like their kids."

The Kitsu dipped her head as thanks. "You are being very kind to me. So okay, I'll take it then!"

“Can I be too kind to the priestess who salvaged what would have been a long and miserable night? It is my duty to support the shugenja of our clan in all things. Whether it be the battlefield, a temple or... uh, discussions about relationships, I will always do my very best to make myself useful.”

She bows her head in response
“And I should let you get back to that night. Although you should ever have need me if I will do all I can to respond.”

"Ah, yes, I suppose it is dutiful of you," Nozomi stated plainly.

She did a few stretches to get the kinks out of her body. "Yup! I guess it's about that time to get to bed. Or maybe read a bit."

"One could always read in bed, Kitsu-san. I imagine I will be there before long. Thank you again for this evening, tomorrow I begin searching for samurai neutral about ikebana."
