She raised her arms to the sky, hands joined, stretching:

"I don't watch much movies myself. Have a hard staying still for so long. Only time I consumed a lot of network was when I was at the hospital."

“Really? That’s too bad. There’s some really good movies. I like the excitement of a good plan coming together, even after something goes wrong along the way. It’s... Satisfying. There’s this feeling at the pit of my stomach, butterflies. Nervous excitement.”

Her leg started to bounce a bit under the table, just thinking about it let off this nervous excitement from the Matsu. “I guess I just admire people that are far smarter than me.”

"Oh, so you're pursuing Eriko... for her brain?"

“I mean, yes but no? It’s like a combination of that and her attitude.” The Matsu leaned back, taking a drink from her water while it was still cold. “Plus, there’s something that just screams danger.”

"Do you mean she's a dangerous one and you like danger? Or that she lives a dangerous live and you want to protect her?"

“I’m a Matsu. We don’t need spouses that need protecting. We can watch each other’s backs, though. That’s fine.” Hide rose a brow questioningly. “But, yes, I do like danger.”

"Aren't surprised. Should try ikebana the way they do it here then. Apparently, it's Hida roulette with poisonous flowers.

I'm okay myself with a spouse who's weaker than me. Am good enough to protect the both of us."

“Ikebana?” Hide gave the Hida a disgusted look. “With, what, mushrooms? That doesn’t sound like a good time to me.”

"I guess? Just heard the rumors, didn't see it with my own eyes. They didn't publicize the poisonous part beforehand, so it sounded boring. Skipped it to take my otori for a walk."

“Poison is kind of boring as a danger. It just... Happens. No tingling sense of excitement when it happens.” Hide shrugged.

"What danger do you like then? Explosions?"

She stretched her mechanical arm toward her:

"Cause that's not exactly my personal favorite."

“Nah, as a kid I’d do stupid shit like climbing up high things. Could fall at any moment, y’know?” Hide glanced over Akemi, sorry to make her think of such a sore subject. “Being shot at is my job.”

My own most dangerous personal way of getting my adrenaline rush is going balls to the wall with my motorcycle. Try to do a bit less of that nowadays, cause it's really freaking dangerous... But sometimes the temptation is just too much."
