"Doji-san has very lovely skin," she complimented the Crane honestly as she finished sweeping away any dirt or sweat from her face, and followed up with some moisturizer that was applied with very gentle massaging fingertips.

"Do you do anything in particular for your skin routine?"

"Nothing in particular," she said, laughing a little when she had to stop herself from shaking her head. "I don't end up needing much moisturizer, but other than that just the usual cleanser and a little skin protection," she said.

"Ah, you're one of the lucky ones." She gave a wry smile. "Must be that famed Doji beauty you hear about so often... didn't realise it was all in being blessed with good skin."

Not that Hyeon-ju was lacking in the good skin department herself, but she also had a strict skincare routine.

With such fine skin though, Ichika didn't need more than some light powder to just smooth things out a little bit, applied with a soft cushion.

"My mother did remark on that," she said, with a light laugh. Letting her expression settle to a more neutral one as Hyeon-ju started to work with the cushion. "You'll be a good Doji bride someday, with that poetry of yours you'll be the darling in someone's eye," she said.

Hyeon-ju gave Ichika an almost deadpan look. "Of course you will be. You are a remarkable woman, Doji-san. Don't let anyone make you think differently."

"... Not that I know what qualities make for a good Doji bride though, but I'm certain that Doji-san has all those qualities and more."

"I do hope to show it," she said, a little tight shake of her head as to not disturb much, "prove it, I mean," she said with a light chuckle. "With Utaku-san's efforts, I'm sure at least I'll look the part, yea?" she added, smiling brightly.

Satisified with the skin for now, she picked up a palette with pastel eyeshadows, and a brush. Using the non-brush end, she pointed out the colors she'd be using. A shimmery sky-blue, and a shimmery silver-grey. "We'll do the colors muted so it will be a nice accent to your pretty face, but not so much that it is overpowering."

As she readied the brushed with a good coating of eyeshadow, she looked at Ichika's face thoughtfully before realising that she wouldn't have to worry about getting the symmetry right if one eye was covered up. No more worrying about eyeliners and eyebrows not matching!

"What colors do you usually like to wear?"

"Lighter colors," she replied quickly, glancing over toward where she stored her things. "Mmm, like my kimono, if you remember. Lighter blues, floral and pink colors," she said.

"Mm, and are those your favorite colors too?"

She let Ichika close her eye before she'd start applying the shade.

Closing her eyes, she was certain to hold still. Shifting one of her hands over the other in her lap as she answered, "I do like them a lot," she said, her lips shifting slightly into a smile, "but I also like other colors too, brighter ones. When I can wear them at least I think the color is fun, pops," she smiled a bit more if only to restrain a laugh.

"Ooh, I can agree with that. Colors are fun," she chuckled a teeny tiny bit herself. "It's good to experiment a bit in what colors you like. No need to be restricted only to clan colors."

The brush probably tickled a little as it swept over her eyelid.

"Mhmm," she scrunched up her nose a little with the slight tickle. Certainly felt different to have someone else brushing her face. "That would be kinda crazy though, yea? Imagine a future where we could all only wear one color for the rest of our lives?" she showed a little shiver to set in the joke when she chuckled.

"That sounds... absolutely terrible," Hyeon-ju seemed both deadpan and serious in her response.

"Really, Doji-san, if you want to try something new in the ways of fashion, just ask me. You can borrow something from me, if you like... I even have some more traditional pieces with me, if you feel more comfortable with that."

"Do you?" she asked, a raised brow. "Now I'm very curious what Utaku-san has brought," she laughed. "Maybe we should make a night of it? I haven't brought much with me though.." she furrowed her brows. "Well, I guess," she shook her head a little. "I was gonna suggest we could swap and share but I don't have much to offer in exchange. Just a couple outfits.. you might think they're cute though," she chuckled lightly.

"Sure, it sounds like something to do one of these days," she nodded approvingly. "Could be fun, to see people with different styles, garments, and color schemes even."

In fact, she sounded positively excited compared to her usual calmness.

"Who should we invite to such a gathering?"

Bringing her hands together in her lap, Ichika couldn't quite contain the burst, "Ooo! Uhm," she thought to tap her chin but laughed when she caught herself. "Hmm.." she furrowed her brow as something dawned on her, "I.. haven't actually spoken with too many I think would be interested, Ikoma Shoan-san.." she tilted her head to the side a bit.

"There are the others of my Clan but.." she chuckled, shrugged. "Well, most of my acquaintances are boys," another chuckle. Then a laugh, "Shinjo Yul-san," she tried to restrain the laughter, "well- if anyone would be willing to entertain it I think he might," she looked down and to the side as to avoid touching her face when she let go, just laughing a unabashedly.

Hyeon wasn't quite sure what to think of dragging Shoan into it. She would probably comply, but in the same way that a dog might comply and would just sit there in a state of confusion as the hoo-mans dressed it up.

"He might..." she had to concede about Yul, and picked up the eye-liner to draw a thin line to only enhance the look of Ichika's eye.

"... Do you have your eye on him?" she asked, a bit more curious now.

Ichika was still throughout the whole line but with the question she blinked, "N-no," she glanced down, "not really. I-" she chuckled, awkwardly. "Shinjo-san is-" she paused, the slightly distant look in her eye gave away the intensity of her thought process.

"Shinjo-san has been a really good friend," she finally said, a half-smile. "Been there for me once, we uh.. we met on the ship down," she glanced away. Fiddling with her index finger in her lap.

"Oooh?"

Finishing with the eye, she gave a quick brush through Ichika's eyebrow to make sure it looked nice and tidy.

"... What did he do, if you don't mind me asking?"

"Well," she paused, a bit more fiddling with her finger. "Shinjo-san came and picked me up from that club, Kayama? I think that's the name. Anyway.. I was having a pretty stressful day and he helped me out. Brought me to the garden and we just talked a while, you know.. normal stuff," her voice got more sheepish the further she got through speaking. By the end she was almost at a whisper.
