"I really don't mind... the idea is to have fun, not to impress Asakaze Next Idol Star judges. I think that is what the miai events are... are for." She sighed.

"Not usually, no," she allowed herself a small uptick of her lips, trying still to be a good canvas for Hyeon-ju's art. "And I think sometimes it is good to try to do things we may not excel at. Even if that thing is deafening a group of samurai." She allowed herself a wink.

"Well, yes, I think that the purpose of these tests our hosts are putting on are more for us to see what everyone is capable of, more than about only looking at the top scorers." Hyeon-ju rolled her lips together. "Ok, do this and your lips will be ready. Then I'm just going to apply liner and we're done!"

Since Chiyoko didn't use mascara usually, she opted for not applying that for now. But she would brush on a quick winged eyeliner on both eyes.

Soft rosy color for the lips, and glittery-eyes. Perfect! She eagerly held up a mirror.

Chiyoko rolled her lips as indicated. Closed her eyes a moment as she imagined in her head what it might look like. And then she opened them. "I..." she blinked. "Well damn. That looks really good!"

"You look nice, Matsu san." She gave a thumbs up in approval.

"I am pretty pleased with the results," Hyeon-ju had one of her very rare and genuine smiles. "The color suits you very well. And well, some glitter makes things more fun."

"And gets everywhere," she grinned. "My clothes will carry a reminder of this morning for weeks."

She turned her head to Atena. "Thank you, Moshi-san!"

"I have a feeling you won't mind," she smirked for a moment and began putting her brushes away.

"See, you can still be very fierce with makeup, Matsu-san."

"Fierce is a word," she laughed. "You will have to teach me how you did all this." Or perhaps... her thoughts raced.

"Of course. It is not hard, as such, but it can take some practice to get it all down. I've had some years practicing though, as I've had an interest in make up ever since my early teen years."

The less said about her goth-phase, the better.

"I've had the interest, but rarely the time," Chiyoko admitted. "Now. We should get ready for our respective days. I enjoy your company immensely, but would violate courtesy to our other guests by keeping you to myself for a full day. Let us contrive time to meet in a couple of days, then I propose that we have our shopping and dinner in three days time."

She wouldn't admit she picked that day because it was stipend day. But it certainly was a sensible conclusion to draw.

"Yes, that would be sensible," she agreed with a nod, zipping her makeup bag closed.

"In three days time then. It shall be a date, Matsu-san. Thank you for your time and for being my canvas today."

"It was my pleasure," she responded in kind. "I will look forward to our next meeting."

Rising to her feet, Hyeon-ju bowed to both Chiyoko and Atena.

"Carry the Fortunes, Matsu-san, Moshi-san."

Feeling she had been efficient and polite in her farewells, Hyeon-ju...
