"Depends upon the circumstances really." Hayato liked being a Mantis, but it wasn't the end if he had to leave. "I think there are some places I'd fit in better then others. If that makes sny sense though."

Jin nodded. "It does, I think. I don't think I could ever give up being a Drop Trooper, though maybe if I find the right person?" He shrugged.

"Well, as a Nikutai you're marrying out seems to be more then a bit unlikely." He glanced towards the other man and raised an eyebrow. "I take it you really enjoy your duty though? If you aren't wanting to leave it behind."

"Yeah. There's just nothing like it." He shrugged. "Running and jumping out of the stratosphere, into enemy fire, to seize the advantage on the battlefield." His voice was wistful as he spoke.

"Sounds invigorating." Hayato offered thoughtfully. Well, as long as something didn't go wrong and you ended up bouncing. "I take it you've been on more then a few jumps?"

"I've been on a few deployments, usually one or two jumps, depending on our engagement." He smiled. "You? Been on many campaigns?"

"Some. A few longer then others. Most recently I've been statione on The Lode, so things can get a bit busy." His lips curled into a wry smile. "I suspect you know what that means."

Jin nodded in silence, recalling his past experience. "Certainly."
