"Actually... when the audience is just you..." he paused, weighing his words, the slightest hint of red, "... it is both very easy and terrifying to commit fully. You inspire so much, but the thought of disappointing you is a heavy burden." The red continued, as he looked away from her for a moment, trying to reclaim some measure of composure.

"O-" she furrowed her brow, watching him for a moment as he retreated a little in his own way. Tilting her head a little she leaned toward the way he did when he looked away. "You couldn't disappoint me, Daigotsu-san," she said, then giggled a little. "At least not here certainly.." she glanced around, wore a bright smile.

"Though.." her voice trailed, getting a little sheepish. "Why does the thought of disappointing me worry you so, Daigotsu-san? I'm just.." she shook her head, didn't finish what she was going to say.

"Because... you are talented. You are compassionate. We are here on Asakaze for a miai. Who knows what that means in who chooses who in the end, or what duty will bring." He returned her smile, then breathed in.

"We are friends, Doji-san. Friendship is a good foundation to begin with. If you thought I was disappointing... well... call it nervousness. Call it youth. I do not know. All I know is, I want to live up to expectations."

"You don't need to be perfect, Daigotsu-san," she said with a brief smile. "I am glad we are friends, and I am happy for everyone we share our room with. You're kind, it's.." she looked down, "it's nice, Daigotsu-san."

"I do not seek to be perfect. I seek the pursuit of perfection. To be better than I was the day before." He shook his head, then leaned in as she looked down. "I seek to be good. That whoever I end up with... they are happy they are with me."

His smile returned. "It is why I do not want to disappoint."

"I do worry a little that you are placing too much pressure on yourself, Daigotsu-san, but if you feel you are comfortable," she paused, nods. "So long as you don't burn yourself out, yea? Always try for the best," she said with a smile.

"I assure you, I will not burn myself out." He seemed dedicated to that, watching her as she regarded him. Then his features softened, a hint of pink. "I... do not want to cause you to worry. I promise, I will not let the universe rest on my shoulders."

"Good!" she said, with a bright smile. "How about some more fun tonight then, yea? Unless you had anything else you wanted to talk about Daigotsu-san?"

"Nothing in particular. I was... am... just looking forward to enjoying your company tonight. Outside of our room, I mean. Away from the others." His grin was matched with that rosy tint.

"Then perhaps I should take my turn, yea?" she said with a soft smile, glancing toward the machine. "Unless you wanted to come over and sing with me?" she said, raising her brow.
