"Well, I hear the Phoenix here sell some rather intresting mushrooms if that's the case." He offered the lioness a smile, before setting off away from the clearing.

"Though from what I hear about those you might end up seeing dinosuars where there aren't none if you eat to many."

“Or just being violently ill.... I’m not sure which is worse. I have never taken hallucinogens before.”
Following Hayato post clearing

“So, where do you think the real dinosaurs are in here?”

"I wouldn't suggest taking them on your own." Hayato offered, though he didn't dare go into any details as to why.

At her question he paused, then pointed deeper towards the center of the gardens. "If I was a dinosaur I'd be hiding in the depths of the garden, waiting to come out at night when all the samurai were gone and I could eat all the otori they threw away."

Hayato gets a look anyway “I... see.”

Still, his dinosaur hunting did make sense
“Ah, they cower where they are no samurai, which is smart. And then emerge to eat fried Otori, also smart. These are clearly cunning beasts.”

"You'd understand if you've ever been to the Dice." He offered ratther vaguely as he continued along down the path.

"Cunning indeed, but if they weren't they'd have been caught long ago wouldn't they?" He asked. Us samurai are always running about dinosaur hunting after all."

"The Dice? I'm not much of a gambler."
Although she supposes many a Mantis might be.

"I suppose you're right about the dinosaurs, where would the hunt be in just finding them wandering around?"
They turn down a long winding pathway past a line of giant mushrooms further shading the path.

"It's not only a casino Ikoma-san." He paused for a moment. "Though I suppose it is the kinds of place that most outside of the Mantis don't find comfortable."

He walked with her along the path, not in any particular hurry to find the dinosaurs apparently. "No where entertaining at least." His eyes drifted up to the mushrooms shadowing the path. "Do you think they climb trees, er mushrooms? Mushroom Trees?"

"A casino? Like on the World of Dreams?"
Evidently the Lion has some stereotypes in her head

"Climb the mushrooms trees?...Hmmm...quite possibly, that way they could ambush people from above. You will let me know if you see one up there, won't you?"

"Somewhat?" He had never been on the world of dreams. "Except it's an entire orbital station, and it hosts a market and stock exchange as well. You can find just about anything you want there..."

He kept his eyes up towards the mushrooms. "Alright, I'll watch the skyline, you watch teh mushroom bushes. Just let me know if I'm gonna walk into anyone or anything."

"Of course....turn left by the way, there's a rock."
Shoan gently tries to steer him around said obstacle

"An entire station that is a casino, a market and a stock exchange?...."
The Lion is quite for a few moments
"Maybe not my sort of place, although it sounds quite exciting."

He glanced, down in time to see the rock, but the Lions help did earn her a smile and a nod of thanks.

"Yeah, I saved up for a coupel of months when I was younger and took fifty koku with me there." He smirked. "Blew through it all in less time then I thought I could. Still I had a blast."

He glanced her way and offered a smile. "Not surprised it's not your kind of palce though, it's a bit too Mantis for most people's tastes?"

"Yes, it does sound pretty Ma-"
Shoan pauses, eyes widening
"Wait, fifty koku? Five Zero?"

He paused in his steps, and looked her way. Perhaps he shouldn't of mentione dthat.

"...."

"Yeah."

"....My whole family isn't worth 50 koku...you're...you're not the daimyo's son are you? Have I been ignoring that this whole time?"

"I don't think you can really put a monetary value on people Ikoma-san." Hayato replied firmly, though that was something some of his clan might disagree with. "But no, nothing like that. My father's just the President of Haruto arms. I'm not set to inherit but he set me up with a healthy portion of stocks when I came of age. I live pretty comfortably off the dividends."

"Did I not mention it before?" Which probably wasn't surprising, it's not like he really went flashing that information around.

"No...no to your credit you didn't flash that information around."
Another look with some raised eyebrows
"Haruto Arms eh? Live off your dividends?"
She gently bumps his hip with her own, smiling slightly.
"You could have absolutely sprung for more expensive food."

"I likely could of." He confessed with a chuckle, before running his hand through his hair. "You just seemed more of a fried otori kind of gal," He finished a playful tone to his voice.

"But maybe I'll buy you some of that silly expensive tea sometime to make it up to you."

"The fried otori was an inspired choice. I've never gone camping with an arms magnate before....you made a good impression."

Equally playful

"You can buy me expensive tea anytime you want...but I am happy with what I have, your company is worth at least 50 koku."

"Oh I think I recall a disgruntled looking lion sipping tea that was simply not up to par." At least thats what he recalled from their first meeting.

He flashed her a teasing smile. "It's nice to know my time is worth so much to you, should I bill your clan?" He joked.

She makes a noise that sounds a little like a snort
"I would like to see that, you wound find out exactly how far a Matsu can toss you. And yes that tea was...revolting, like drinking artificial sweetener in dirty water."
