"Thank you Hanako-sama. It's received! I hope the information files I included will be useful to you!" He gives a slight smile.

"I hope you enjoy your time out here on the frontier. You may have traveled the furthest and so it's a great honor to be among those hosting you while you're here."

"I appreciate the information, Asako-san. I will make sure to put it to good use," Michiya replies with a nod. "What took you off world that led you to return with us?" he asks curiously.

Ishiyo holds up her own densai, "Well then I guess I should participate in youeh survey as well." She considers something for a moment, "I wondeh if I should have written up a survey foeh this miai as well. I suppose it would expedite the process." Her hand waggles the densai, "Yes...yes that would make sense."

Chiyoko looked around. People introduced themselves. Perhaps she had to do that too. But it has to be the right introduction. She offers a polite-enough bow. Found one of the seats and relaxed into it, unconcerned with how bumpy the ride would be getting. She pushed her sunglasses up to her forehead, studying the people around. "My name's Matsu Chiyoko. Good to meet you all."

Nailed it.

"I wanted to collect the sounds of the station and shuttle. I also made sure to update station security with the names of those who were attending the miai, so that they could verify with the identification information we had received planetside." He taps the computer.

"Otherwise I wouldn't have brought the computer with. Normally can check all the video and audio when I get home."

He nods and looks down to the computer a second. "Ah yes, the famous Daidoji logo; file should be sent Daidoji-sama."

"An honor to meet you Matsu-san."

Ishiyo spends a moment filling out paperwork then flicks the document back to the Asako. "Thank you Asako-san, it was interesting and useful besides." Of course her attention had shifted to the Lioness, that sort of swagger was suspicious to the Crane.

"Oh. I see Matsu-san is a soldieh. Are you perhaps a fighteh pilot as well?" Ishiyo leans forward a little, excited at the chance to meet another pilot. Though if she was then it was strange that her uniform was missing wings.

Chiyoko shook her head. "Not as such, no. Matsu Infantry, Hohei. Sharpshooter's division."

Mal-Chin nods. "Sharpshooter! That's like the infantry's version of a pilot, yes? Often looking over the battlefield, picking off targets and battling other's on the enemy's side in the same position?"

"I wonder how many warriors are going to be here? I don't know a lot about that life. I spent a few weeks on Tetsugasa on my way here from Rokugan, but I was mostly in areas reserved for people visiting the station. Maybe I'll get the chance to learn more about what it's like to be a soldier or pilot out here if we have a lot of them present."

"It's quite possible. The Governor made it to Ace as a pilot himself during his war duties."

Ishiyo look a bit put out by that, "Oh....interesting." She leaned back disappointed, but her smile returned soon enough. As the Asako speaks she responds, "I am not sure a sharpshooteh would be the equivalent of a pilot in those sort of terms. Modern aerospace warfare includes quite a bit of close in fighting as well. But in the sense of being specialists I suppose a comparison could be made."

"I must also confess a bit of surprise at a Matsu sharpshooteh, I was given to the understanding that your cousins in the Akodo were the ones who favoeh such roles."

The mention of the Governor brings an enthusiastic nod, "Yes! He was quite the pilot in his youngeh days. It is unfortunate that he is likely to be a busy man, I would love to speak to him at length about those days." Her eyes practically sparkle as she spoke.

"I am something of an oddity," Chiyoko smirked a bit. "Matsu sharpshooters happen, but pretty rarely. Our training is better suited for shock troops and vanguards. I, in the other hand, happen to be one hell of a shot, so the Akodo put me where they think I'm gonna do best."

Mal-Chin nods. "Would you like to answer the questionnaire as well? It may end up assisting you in finding out more about Asakaze, or help to decide a future spouse."

"Yeah, I mean, if it makes doing my duty easier there ain't no harm, right?" She pulls out her Densai to collect the information.

"Hai, that's my hope!" He responds, then looks for the icon that's most likely to be Lion or Matsu. Then sends it off, having eliminated the other options as having already received the file.

"I did the basic qualifications for my sidearm but I do kind of want to learn more about shooting," he says, probably aimed more at the Matsu.

"Nobody in my immediate family uses firearms. My father is pretty handy with a blade, since he always practiced iai as a hobby even though he was trained with the Otomo like me. He carries the same blade our founder carried. Thousands of years old."

"It'd have to be. That's a rare thing to be able to say. Will you carry it one day?"

Chiyoko filled out and sent out the information, taking a moment to study it before finishing it up. "I'd be glad to do a demonstration or the like. Though I don't know that we're going to have particularly interesting targets here."

"Ah, I was actually taught iaijutsu at flight school," Her eyes shift to Michiya, "The Kakita have tried to apply the principles of iaido to the rigoehs of fighteh combat." She nods, "I am sure the dojo provided has a shooting range. It would make for an interesting change in location from just going to the gardens and tea houses."

Her eyes drop to her densai, "I suppose we might want to all exchange information? I mean we were sent here to choose a spouse, so it would behoove us to learn more about each otheh." And maybe it would help her get this nonsense figured out quickly so she could get back to her plane and the stars.

"Just give me the physical copy; It's nice to have something you can hold in your hands besides a screen."

The Scorpion girl finally spoke up, stopping near the Asako and holding out a gloved hand.
