Then her communicator starts loudly playing a ringtone and peppy pop music fills the air.

She also manages to get her foot stuck in some mud.

Ryuu was not the stealthiest of individuals. His eyes focused as they came across their prey. This could be a difficult hunt indeed.

Koseki raised his eyebrows when he saw the creature. He wondered how Yul had survived his encounter.

Noting the distance to the target, and its likely behaviour, he moved slightly closer using the available cover. Apparently the Lion tactic was to act as a freaking massive distraction, so that was a thing. It hadn't been the sort of plan he was expecting, but he assumed Shoan had some idea of what she was doing.

The hunting party had a problem. Two problems, really. Not only was there a drifter 120' ahead of them in the river, there was another down the river, about the similar distance from the group. That beast too had been impressed with Shoan channeling her inner ninja.

The almighty cacophony had summoned a second drifter. Oh good. Well, it could be worse. There didn't seem to be any mushroom zombies...

well that was unexpected, still Hayato managed to bite down the rising wave of fear and stay calm.

Taking a deep steadying breath Hayato took a knee his rifle coming up to his shoulder as he sighted in on the swimming dinosuar. A Zeni for your thoughts. He murmured under his breath as he squuezed the trigger, a radiant bolt flying from the weapon and towards the creature.

Drifter in the river roared in pain, turning to first lurch and then run towards the samurai, its strong tail carrying it through the water with a speed belying its size. The other beast had spied the humans as well and was now making a good pace towards them.

Ryuu's own rifle came up, and he focused with the others on the first approaching drifter.

The first beast fell down, dead. Daigotsu Ryuu could claim the glory of the kill, even if the drifter had been badly injured when he took his shot.

One beast was down, but that still left another. Shifting his rifle to his left hand, Hayato drew his sidearm with his right, the sidearm barely leaving the holster before he managed to aim and fire.

His shot might very well have goen wide though as he stepped back as he shot trying to get into a better position for his next shot.

Well that was annoying. Koseki took a few steps back to get away from the massive reptile. Unfortunately he couldn't get a clean shot due to the Spider being in the way. Wouldn't do to accidentally blast a comrade.

The trigger was pulled, and another blast of radiant energy lanced out. But the chaos of battle was beginning to take hold.

Well, That was big and toothy, and entirely too close for Hayato's comfort. Still he didn't flee instead dropping to one knee and bringing up his Rifle as he let his pistol hit the dirt. Center mass, time to make it count. Which hopefully he did.
