So the GM announcement triggers me actually doing this thing I've been thinking of.

The cult plot has several people who learned things who have spread that information in a variety of ways. It's a bit like a virus now, infecting the characters throughout the miai.

Core folks with firsthand info. that I know of are Mumei/Izumi/Tsugiharu on their kami-chatting trip, and Shibas Moriko and Hoshiko with their direct interactions with the sect.

And then a number of us have been telling people all over the place.


For purposes of who's able to participate in that event, it might be good to note here if you've learned about it and where/how you did so.

Day 6: Tsugiharu approached.
Day 7: She talked to Yul about it, being worried, and also Asako Chiruha.
Day 8: Talked to Tsugiharu again, and then later Mumei.

Shoan is happy to participate, although timing and numbers may complicate that.
Mumei told her over the phone, which is the best way to find out about a cult.

Shion heard about it from Mumei and Izumi (Otori meetings ftw!), and Mumei's been talking to her about some more stuff over the comm too.

Shion will be happy and feel obliged to help however she can - including using her Katana and Sidearm if it comes to that. She's definitely better with a Shamisen, but sometimes it must be done : p

D1: visited the shrine and was drugged by Saneyuki.
D3: witnessed a ritual and had my Void consumed by an Elder God.
D5: attended a service with Hoshiko and overhead some scheming.
D7: spent some one-on-one time with Saneyuki and learnt:

• The exact location of the upcoming ritual.
• That the priests will be there early to prepare.

Moriko has communicated certain details to Mumei and Ryuu.


I haven't had a combat yet, so I'll definitely be turning up for this one.

Joo was told on his first day at miai by Mumei about the hillbilly cult xD

Joo is...ok at combat? He has Fury of Winter, but I think main issue is that healing and combat spells are using same spell slots, and he has 6 of those overall.

I was also in 2 combats as Jin, so I think I'll be the reserves/healing person unless I'm needed to fill up a slot.

Yeah, I should note that Mumei is combat useless. So either waiting with a cobbled together ritual to handle possible backlash from the one we hope to halt, or hanging in the wings as support.

I have no idea what is going on, so good luck all.

Mal-Chin knows some things.

He's no good at combat.

He has one heal in his Revitalizer.

Satoru was brought in by hos cousin and has done some chatting with the "core group" he is a decent support caster able to throw metal ok and debuff up to 3 enemies at once. Has some healing and RoF and FoP. Been in a combat but willing to do so again.

The only thing I can contribute to combat is mah Spirit Bearjimbo, so although being one of the principal movers on this I am not that interested in being in any combat unless I have to be. (Not ruling out assassination attempts by said Cult.)

I am very happy to give an (in)accurate briefing of what you might face beforehand and healing afterwards though.

I got in the known through Hida Akemi D8, other than that: I'm bad at combat. But i have a good Investigation Skill

Basically we are looking for people ready to kill and die. If you are not in that category, the D10 event is not for you.

Yul's in the know, but he's been in two fights. Even if he was unconscious for a lot of the second one!

That would be a different plot. You need a gang of your own.

Koseki visited the Shrine with Mumei and Izumi on Day 2. He has been kept in the loop by the MCA team and volunteered to help out if needed.

That being said, he was in the Kiyonami plot and the drifter hunt, and is already actively involved in the Eriko vs mushroom maho plot.

Kitsune-sama also has an Obligation from a human-jimbo (or himbo?) he can call in if he needs it.

Atsumori has not been an investigator on this (and I fought one critter already), so certainly primacy of place goes to those who have been. He can shoot, guard, soak a few hits, and is here if you need him, though.
