The Mantis' laughter lasted a few moments longer before he finished. "It's nice to hear you laughing, Shoan-san." He offered after a moment.

"Usually you stop it and end up looking like you just swallowed a live fish."

"A samurai is..." snigger "Supposed to present a respectable face to the world."

"Oh, I'm not saying it's a bad look on you. I imagine Kitsu-san would probably call it cute." If he was honest he kinda liked it himself, but that really didn't need to be mentioned.

"Respectable too, I should probably add...." he finished looking away from the Lion and towards the lovely patch of fungus to his side

"I am a very respectable samurai, cute I am less sure of, although if she believes that to be the case...."
Well, it was subjective anyway

"I think every....most samurai pleasant have remained respectable, or respectable enough. It is better than the miai being one long beach volleyball tournament."

"I would of enjoyed at least a little beach volleyball though." Hayato mused, maybe not the whole time but.. "it seems to be popular among the Unicorn too."

"You're right though, most here have conducted themselves quite well."

"Participants are expected to wear those....form fitting garments, it is a little unseemly. Although I know more than a few Matsu who have taken to it for reasons I cannot fully explain."
They all loved spiking the ball

"I suppose if the planet won't conduct itself appropriately then we must rely on the samurai."

"Now Shoan-san, I want you to take a moment to imagine Kitsu-san running around in the sand in one of those form fitting outfits, hopping after balls and having a good time. Then I want you to tell me if they are really all that unseemingly."

"You do make a point though, this planet doesn't really show proper etiquette." He pursed his lips. "Not that w should really expect that from a planet."

Shoan definitely doesn't imagine that. Definitely not cocking her head to picture the image, and certainly not smiling slightly at the thought.....maybe beach volleyball could be good for the shugenja's fitness?

"Mmmhm? Hmmm? Yes, a very poorly mannered planet indeed."

Sometimes it was important to bring wisdom to the uninformed. Hayato even managed not to smile as Shaon's brain caught up to the present.

"I suppose we have to make do with what we have though. At least some of the vistas are suitably impressive if you find a pilot to take you there."

"Yes I...went up to the highlands early on for a 'sky-date' for just that purpose. It was very pleasant."

"But it was not to be, and at least that was sorted quickly and without embarassment."

"I can probably guess who that was with." Hayato offered with a slight smile. Yul it seemed might just be the second guy in one day.

"Still, I'm glad things ended well. Maybe for the best too, seeming how much you like Kitsu-san's company."

"I...agree. It would be selfish for me to want a perfect match for myself, leaving her to a poor one elsewhere. She is a priestess and deserves more than that. Yul-san has many positive qualities...but so does she. They are merely different."

"He is a pretty good guy, even if he is kind of on the naughty side." Hayato agreed with a nod. He merely wished that the man would be a bit less reckless with his date locations. If he had died he likely would of taken mumei with him, unless she somehow managed to fly down on her own.

"Both of the Unicorn pilots are pretty friendly honestly."

"Yul-san and...."
The barest hint of surprise
"He....Hyu....Utaku-san?"

"Yeah." He agreed with a nod. "Utaku-san and I get along fairly well, probably better then Shonj-san and I honestly. Did a bit of dancing together on out first day here."

He eyed the Lion for a moment. "Is that weird or something?"

"No.....no...well maybe a little. Was she...friendly to you?"

"Yeah?" He offered to the Lioness, seemingly a little bit confused now. "We did that 'Aaaahhhhh.' thing and shared a bit of each others sandwich over lunch the other day. It was a bit silly, but she seemed to like it."

His lips curled into a half smile. "Like another samurai I know she doesn't laught much, but she should," He nudged Shoan with his ekbow "You both have a nice one."

She nods slowly
"I...well, that is...not without merit. She seemed quite....reserved to me. But-"

"-Maybe what you say is not without merit. I have not heard her laugh."
