The horrid stench that dominated the air had long been gone with the cool breeze brought in by the new day. However, the plumbing in Shantytown wasn't great and it was unknown if the stench lingered or it was an entirely different smell. Despite the impending doom that some of the visitors might be facing, the heimen were generally good spirits and upbeat. They moved about in preparation for the upcoming Tanabata festival, some already stringing up ornaments atop of the streets and light posts.

There was also a good amount of traffic in the area that saw a combination of work trucks passing by, some were even double-parked due to the preparation of the festivities.

Jisei and Chinmoku lingered closely nearby. It appeared that Jisei's head was practically on a swivel as he glanced around warily.

Dressed up in raggedy street clothes with a hoodie shrouding his face, Nakaba steps on over towards the scouted truck. Conditions less than ideal but he had to make do with the situation. Attempting to smoothly bypass the lock seems to prove more difficult than expected of a civilian car lock.

"Give me a moment. Tap my shoulder if any eyes come our way." He quietly stays and attempts a second try on the lock.

The attempt to break into the lock of the heimen truck resulted in the alarm being triggered and the horn of the truck start to wail incessantly. This got the attention of the heimen in the neighbourhood, some look over the balcony at the issue and others just peered at them helplessly.



"Fuck! SHIT!" Jisei cried out with a jitter about him, now really on edge.



Chinmoku was wordless and merely stares right into Nakada with no other reaction. He just stared and stared.

Does Yasuki Nakaba wish to try on another vehicle, this one or otherwise?

A small sigh sounded at the fumble. "Relax." He commands Jisei. "Lets get some space from here. Try again." Nakaba steps away down an alleyway, gets a safe distance from the scene, then looks for a different opportunity.

Jisei merely followed after the Yasuki.



Chinmoku did likewise.

The alarm continued to go off in the area and eventually one of the works did go to the truck to finally turn it off, fussing over what had just happened. The other heimen called out and pointed at the direction of the group who had just left. If there were repercussions, they weren't acted upon yet but the clock was ticking.

Gathering some distance from the first vehicle, Nakaba finds a similar ride and works his magic. To the witnesses earlier there would just be some common riff raff causing trouble. Nothing but a passing memory in a bustling city.

Much more gracefully this time, Nakaba picks past the lock and gains control. With a loud hum of the engine the motor comes alive. "Lets roll." he calls out to the others and pounds his palm against the car door.

Jisei was more than happy to get into the car and Chinmoku did the same without a word. As they drove off together, Nakabe could see a yoriki ATV rolling by them as they passed on the road. It was unknown whether they were there for the car theft or merely the recent incident regarding Isawa Shin.

It was best they didn't find out.
