The ronin at the tower winced when there was another wild shot fired at him. While his boss was barking all sorts of orders, the wasn't going to overlook the Lion yelling all sorts of things and making himself a target. He aimed with his rifle and took the shot, which struck the Lion on point.

"Heh," he said smugly to himself as he pulled back the slide on his rifle to load another unit of radiant energy.

The shot was a good one and Koseki managed to hit the man in the tower directly where it hurt.



The man let out a snide chuckle as after Akihiko took that shot from the hunting rifle, "Oooohooo, let's goooo, HERO!"

He looked down from the balcony and frowned. Why was there a Hida in his grill now? He thought he put her down with that show. After he took aim, he shot at the Hida in cover. Sparks flew but the shot only collided with sheet metal and cargo boxes.

Akihiko looked to the Hotaru as he shouted at him while looking at both the ronin at the balcony and that punk who was laughing at him. He knew he should maintain the pressure, especially when they were finally making their way up. However, there was something said to take an advantageous position. It was something an Akodo would do. He gripped on his rifle and made a run forward before diving forward on the slight decline for cover.

Akihiko used simple action to move forward and go prone at the decline. Currently has cover for +5TN vs range attacks and is at 40' from the buildings.

Things were getting hot, especially when he had been taking practically all the shots. He was a sitting duck out here but continued to pour on the offensive. Taking a breath back, he took his sights on the Suzume who was still standing in the distance while his boss was handling the ones up close. His shot hit but downrange, it didn't look too effective.

That should keep those rats suppressed.

Hide saw the man in the tower. He kept shooting people and hitting them. She steadied her shot through all her anger and let one true rage-fueled shot out, catching him in perfectly in the head.

The tower ronin at just finished pulling back the slide to load his next shot and the suddenly took radiant shot that went clean into him through and through. He looked befuddled for the last time and his body slumped over the railing of the tower, hitting the ground below.



"Eeeeyyaaah!" one of the ronin stormed out of the barn with her katana out, running right for Hida Akemi in cover.



Continuing with her plan while her partner was providing a distraction, the other ronin began to drag out a semi-conscious body. Her nose had been bloodied and her face paint mostly lacking at this point. It looked like she had been submerged several times at some point.

It was time to go!



One ronin is engaged to Hida Akemi in melee.
The other ronin is dragging Eriko and is now 5' from the truck.

Shion flinches a bit at the shot that hit the side of her leg, the it didn't hurt too bad. Seeing the Matsu take down the sniper, Shion took the chance to rush ahead and duck at the ridge for some cover, preparing for the next round of shooting.

Looking at the Ronin dragging Eriko, she said to the Akodo close by "Must focus on her!"

So she faced her doppelganger of stupidity in an arena of boxes while shots kept being fired around them. Tetsubo versus sword, almost like in the old Crab tales.

A quick assessment of the situation gave the Firefly an opening to try something. He ran to the truck and wrenched the passenger door open before climbing inside. Leveling the rifle barrel at the driver's side door he calmly waited for the ronin to open it so he could say "Surprise, scumbag."

Okay, the situation went from great to bad at almost a drop of a hat. His fire support was done but there were still some ronin between them and him. Suddenly, dropping to the ground didn't seem like a bad idea. However, that was neither here nor now.

He assessed the situation and glared at Akihiko, if nothing else, he still had his vendetta, "You're still dead, HERO!"

Even with the protection of the slope, Gorou's shot strikes Akihiko, slicing a burning line along his chest as he lay on his back. His vision is getting fuzzy and his breathing erratic. This was not the place for a pilot, and he knows it. He warns Suzume Shion "That guy." <wheeze> "Mantis samurai." Even in Akihiko's head he sounds terrible. Biting back pain and rage and a tidal wave of guilt, he disengages so he won't slow the team down.

Hide dropped her rifle to the ground as she saw that woman carrying a very beat up looking woman. The Matsu was beyond pissed, she fell into a low position and bolted at the woman with a loud roar. She was going to take Eriko from her. They were not going to escape with her.
