Hayato glanced at her a mischievous smile making its way onto his lips. "Two beings sharing a brief interlude together with nothing between them but the dark and water slick as silk sheets."

He grinned. "Like I said if you think about it all wrong."

Her eyes narrowed slightly, and she made a face... as if she was clearly thinking damn your lewd mind.

"You have a very improper imagination, Tsuruchi-san," she remarked cooly, then took another bite of the cone.

He couldn't help but chuckle as be brought his cone up to take another bite of his own.

"My apologies Utaku-san. It's not a constant, but certain images gets my mind turning in that direction, and occasionally its difficult to stop."

She fixed him with a neutral look for a moment and then drew a deep breath.

"Pervert," she teased as she looked away again.

"I'm not the one that had to compose herself after having a man lick her cone." He teased in return before looking away.

"Not that you're wrong though."

She coughed awkwardly at the particular phrasing of that sentence.

"I'm not a pervert. I'm... a maiden unused to such vulgarity," Hyeon-ju explained away cooly to cover up that she was flustered.

"Mmm... I suppose that's fair Utaku-san." Hayato replied a little mischief in his eyes as he watched her for a few moments.

"I suppose I just thought with Shinjo-san in your squad you'd be a bit more wordly."

She gave him a sharp look as she was still chewing through the remains of the cone.

"... Are you saying that being worldly and lewd is the same?"

"Hrm... I suppose they aren't exactly." He replied with a soft chuckle.

He looked her way a wry smile on his lips. "Though I would maybe say being worldly includes a certain amount of knowledge about certain things? Not that any on their own are especially required to be lewd."

"I suppose I should ask if you consider yourself worldly though?"

There was certain no-nonsense to her expression.

"Yes, I consider myself worldly, because I'm not a monk or a priest contemplating the greater meaning of the universe. And yes, I do have knowledge of certain things even if I don't engage in them myself."

The Utaku was a bit of an old-fashioned one there.

He dipped his head briefly. "Then you have my apologies Utaku-san. It seems I took my teasing a bit too far." He leaned back in his seat eyes towards the ceiling.

"I'll keep an eye on filters in the future." He continued, shifting his eyes back towards the Unicorn maiden."

"You are forgiven, Tsuruchi-san. I understand it was not... meant with ill-intention, and I know that I'm a bit more old-fashioned than many others are," she gave a brief, wry smile. "The Utaku are perhaps the most conservative family of the Unicorn."

"Yeah, you don't the type to go on a skydate that includes kissing at a lakeshore probably right around sunset." He brought the remains of his cone to his lips and took a bite.

"Not that its a bad thing, being a bit old fashioned and avoiding those things. It's nice to take things slow and get a proper feel for each other."

"I think it's fully possible to enjoy the company of those we meet here without... needing to..." she cleared her throat a little awkwardly, "get physical about it."

Hyeon-ju finished off the rest of her cone.

"If samurai can't have the discipline to keep their composure for a little shy of two weeks, then what kind of impression does that give."

Hayato couldn't help but smirk a bit about hiw shy about the topic she seemed. "I mean, I can't really say I haven't been tempted a time or two." He held up his hand and wiggled his fingers playfully.

"But you make a good point. We are all here to make a good impression, and we should be able to keep our composure even around those we're attracted to." Though sometimes it was a bit difficult.

She didn't blush, but she was also decidedly not looking at Hayato as he was wiggling his fingers, and instead focused on dabbing around her mouth gently with the napkin.

"What sort of impression does it give to one's future spouse and in-laws if someone can't behave for less than two weeks. Are they going to lose control of themselves the moment they meet someone they're attracted to?"

Hayato popped the las bit of cone into his mouth, and reached over for one of the napkins Hyeon-ju had brought with her. "I'm sure that arguments can be made about that from one more versed in that sort of behavior, but I'm not going to make one."

"Best to just be on your best behavior."

She looked at him with a raised eyebrow, curiosity in her eyes. "You almost make it sound like you're someone more versed in that sort of behaviour..."

His lips curled into a playful smile. "Kissing and cuddling and the like? I suppose I am in versed in that sort of thing, if thats what you're getting at. I've dated before after all but never with the intention of marriage."

"Still I'd still never make the argument thats its the proper behavior for a miai. Or make any excuses for it. Though I suppose on thinking on it I could."

Her lips pressed together into a thin line as she neatly folded up the used napkin.

"I guess this miai has been the first dates I've been on, to be honest..."
