They would indeed be like the rocky, muddy and some stretches of desert. The vibrant lands of the Kuni are nothing but a memory after several centuries.

However, that's only part of the world where the Kuni have their major holdings and labatories. The rest is more temperate and forgiving.

What's the difference between a Fantasy Fight deck and a Fantasy Fight console?

Console is console (Think of Nokia n-gage). Console comes with default deck. But you can also get just the deck for your densai and suffer inferior graphics and SFX.

There are promotional physical cards too (with Rokugani QR code that lets you read them into your console). Full art cards, holographic cards, full art holos...

I don't think the Core says it matters when it happens.

Some PCs have school techniques which add flat damage bonuses on hits in combat.
I'm assuming it's okay to ignore those bonuses when sparring with bokken so PCs don't accidentally murder eachother?

If we traveled on a late shuttle, do we need LM to sleep for two consecutive slots? Or we're ignoring D0 in that calculation?

Ignore the sleep requirement. I will adjust the goggles at some point.
