"Good point." He agreed with an amused smile. "And I win more then enough as it is."

"Do you think you will have a place like that for your children? Or at least trying to settle in a place there is one?"

"I...think it would be good for them, to have those same good experiences. I'm sure with Kitsu-san and mine's stipend and our lord's generosity we could find somewhere near a pool....oh and a park too, and hopefully a fully stocked dojo...oh and she'd want a library too, obviously."

"Obviously." He agreed with a soft smile. "I'm sure you will find a place to fit all your needs. You're nothing if not diligent after all. You'll keep looking until you get everything you want."

“Exactly...I mean, how hard is it to acquire a house?... And properly furnish it?... and then maintain it?”

“... I think I might need a servant.”

"I'd encourage at least one of them." A household was a difficult thing to run at least as far as he'd seen. "Especially after the first baby comes. I have some friends with kids and they can be a handful."

“Yes... I will simply have to strive harder to prove myself in the legion. Once I am a gunso it will be easier to provide.”
Shoan clearly finds the item of having to earn money distasteful

"I'm sure you will make it there quickly " Hayato assured the young woman. "Then any worries of that nature will disappear, and no longer enter your thoughts."

“Oh dear... I have just considered.... if I die pursuing my duties then won’t Kitsu-san be left in a disadvantageous position?”
This seemed far worse than actually dying.

"I'm sure your clan will take care of her." Hayato replied to Shoan a reassuring smile in his lips. "Though if you are really worried there are likely arrangements that can be made."

“Of course... I could wear even heavier armour, maybe invest in some better first aid courses.”
The clan would be there if anything happened... probably...

"I'm not sure even you could carry armor any heavier then yours." Hayato offered with a soft chuckle. "First aid courses might be nice though, for various reasons." Children seemed to like to scrape knees and stuch at the very least.

Absolutely, what if her children got shot?

“I’ll invest in them. I cannot have the children needing Kitsu-san to call on the spirits to fix their boo boos. If necessary they can be solved by bandaging and affection.”

"Gonna hug them until the pain goes away are ya?" Hayato asked with a soft smile, though it was mostly reflected in his eyes and not his lips. Masks were bad for these things. "I suppose I can do with a few myself though, just in case."

“Hugs always work. They are truly powerful.”
Shoan felt she was 100% correct here

“You want a few children yourself?”

"Yeah, I think three would be a good number." He repleid thoughtfully. "I suppose a lot depends on what my spouse wants though." Hayato hadn't really brought that sort of thing up with either of the ladies he was likely to pick. Though Shoan was probably thinking more in like with a dozen or something.

"Three dozen? That is a long time to for anyone to be pregnant Akodo-sama."
Maybe Hayato was thinking in single digits?...This is why the Lion would inherit the empire.

"Not dozen, just three." It was a nice number at least he thought. "I think it wouldn't be bad to go up to as many as five though." Even if that seemed like a swarm of them.

He glanced at Shoan. "Were you aiming for one dozen or two?"

"That depends on Kitsu-san, raising a battalion is a considerable commitment."

"Of course, each will make an hounrable samurai for the Clan."

"Of course." Hayato agreed, though somewhere inside he was thinking he might of dodged a bullet. Sure the process of making that many children would probably be enjoyable. Raising them though, well that was an entierly different story.

"It's imperative to keep you partners wishes in mind."

"Exactly, and there aren't a lot of samurai who want to be pregnant for 6+ years straight."
