"The art of wearing a kimono is confidence, and you have that in spades," Moriko nodded sagely, even though the fancy knot of her obi was upside down, and the folds were crooked. "Just relax," she advised, placing a koku on the game counter and receiving ten darts for the nerf guns. "Hmm, first, I think, a snack," and she sighted down the range.

She's hugging her own rainbow peacock lizard...that she'd look up the actual name for later. The rafflestrings had been a decent idea. Even if she was likely to forget it in the hotel or on the shuttle or maybe at the spaceport, it was fun to squeeze now.

"Oh, hey, Doji-san!" she said as she managed to catch her among the attendees here and gave her a quick bow in greeting, perhaps speaking a bit louder to compensate for the cheers of the children who were hoping to snag their share of fish, "this place is pretty happening! And sure, friends of yours?"

She looked curious as she followed Ichika's lead toward the ranking Crane and her Spider companion.

A quick exchange of bows, the cheers of children, and Ichika giggling a little. "Something like that!" she said as she lead Chiyoko over, with a bright smile she bowed to Fusako and then Satoru.

Yul held it up, giving it a little shake. "Purple, of course. But with a flame design along the edge." Yul grinned. "I figured I'd go for the best of both worlds that way." His lips quirked as he carefully tucked it away in a pocket.

He looked at Mumei a moment, his eyes warm, watching as she squeezed her prize. "Hey... you wanna give this a go? It's pretty fun. Maybe you could win me some festival cookies." He held out the toy gun with a smile; it was beaten plastic, orange in color, with The Defender in stylized characters down the side.

Chiyoko would give a bow to greet Fasako and Satoru, sparing a nod toward Ichika as well. She murmured a semi-mustered smile as she confronted with strangers. "Hey, good evening, Asahina-sama and Kuchiki-san. That would be me. We met in a mall a few days ago. How's everyone's evening so far?"

"Oh of course," she laughs. "That really should have been obvious..." One eyebrow raises. "You realize I've never in my life shot any kind of gun? I'll be lucky to hit the target, much less find some prizes."

It seems a waste of zeni, given her skill. Still..."It'll make you happy, if I try?" she asks, leaning against the counter.

Smiling, Yul dropped a few more coins in the bowl. "Yeah, sure. I think it might be fun. And it's not so hard. Just aim down the barrel..." He demonstrated again, raising it to his shoulder and pointing it down range. "Aim a little high, because foam balls drop pretty quick."

Grinning, he set it down on the counter. "Alright, let's see what you've got." He looked at her a moment longer, his smile turning decidedly warm, before he took a step back.

Tsuigiharu wandered about the festival unaccompanied. Most of the games didn't really appeal to him, but there were raffle strings everywhere, and he'd decided to take a chance or two.

"But this..." when handed the nerf gun, he flourished it in his hand befor grabbing the grip, "... is very much my element."

He intended to win her a prize.

Starting with the easy targets, Moriko snapped off three shots in quick succession: a voucher for a drink, a box of nearly stale cookies, and bag of off-brand candies. After all, it wasn’t a festival until you were sugared up to the eyeballs. Thinking for a moment, “seven shots, seven Fortunes, I’m going to try for the set,” she grinned.

While he wasn't one for sweets, a soda did sound refreshing. A quick shot from the hip, and the target was downed. Her comment about the Fortunes, and he nodded. "A very auspicious number." Ryuu grinned, and took aim at the hardest target.

Sighting downrange, he tagged the small, distant target, and the prize bell rang.

Moriko cooed, impressed, the kami-pet was tougher than the statuettes of the Fortunes, “excellent shooting, as always.” Looking at the figurines lined up, the girl wrinkled her nose for a long moment before coming to a decision, she just hoped that he would not be insulted, “for you, Ryuu-san, Bishamon.” Her shot squarely hit the target, and the attendant brought over the prize, which she nudged in the Spider’s direction.

Asako Mal-Chin stood at the line.

He'd put two bu down. Maybe he'd get some change back.

But most likely he'd just have spent the money to help the festival earn its keep.

He held the nerf gun carefully.

He closed his eyes a moment. He'd meant to do so much. Mysteries and promises and in the end, he'd proven ineffectual because he hadn't been willing to put in the time.

But here was a little game. A little thing that he could do for himself. He hadn't been interested in finding love really. And who really knew the real truth behind the facade everyone had put up over the last 11 days.

He opened his eyes, and took his four shots.

They all missed, one a little closer then the others.

He smiled anyways. It wasn't in his cards to change his fortunes in that way.

Ryuu looked at the statue of the Fortune. He then looked to Moriko, and grinned. "I am honored. Thank you, Moriko-san." With the kami-pet on his prize stand, he set his nerf gun down, and took it, presenting it to her.

"I shot well because I had someone to shoot well for."

Blushing, Moriko recalled the old tradition of refusal and how silly that seemed, accepting the toy with grace, “I shall care for the kami within with the same attention I would give you.” She hoped he understood that she might fail sometimes, but that it didn’t mean she cared any less.

"I..." he had a slight red hue to his alabaster cheeks, and he bowed his head. "That is all I can ask for. I only wish that it brings you as much joy as I can bring you." He felt as though he stumbled through the words, but the meaning was there.

“Nothing could bring me the same joy that you could but,” she lowered her voice, “should our paths diverge tomorrow, then this will be my comfort.” Moriko smiled, her eyes large and liquid and brimming with hope. Her mouth hung open just a little, on the cusp of saying something more, but they still had nerf darts left, and other people wanted to play as well, so she turned back to the targets, missing Ebisu by a wide margin.

"Then let us focus on tonight..." he replied in whisper, still smiling at her. Following suit with his nerf gun, he opted for a new strategy. Supporting her shots with his own. After all, that was what spouses did.

Granted, his own shot sailed past, perhapa distracted by her.
