"I don't think we had those diagrams." Hayato replied thoughtfully. Could she be referring to sex education? Why would you show that via diagrams instead of explaining it in detail, and suggesting the proper precautions. "But I suppose something like that could explain a few things."

"That is exactly how that works, Shoan-san." Hayato replied, though he wasn't exactly looking at the Lion when he said it. Which could perhaps be considered some sort of Mantis trick.

Lion humour met Mantis trickery in a battle for the ages.
"Yes indeed. Of course, once you have married you can no longer get diseases."

"Of course, which is why proper and discreet affairs after marriage aren't looked at nearly as shamefully." That was how that worked after all. "Otherwise mirror matches would be simply impossible."

"I wonder how the disease knows whether someone is married or unmarried....if only I had studied medicine, I am sure it would be clear."

"I assume it must start my affecting the mind, there if it finds the facts that a samurai is unwed it takes hold and begins to devour their morals." Hayato speculated, it was a truly insidious disease indeed.

"Sounds like it."

Hayato agreed after a few moments. "Well at least its treatable."

"It is?.....Do the Crab know?"

"Well...." He trailed off for a few moments.

"I'm not well versed in that sort of knowledge." He pointed at Shoan. "So I'll need to consult the local expert."

He gasped at that. "Could that mean you were using Mantis trickery, Shoan-san!?"

"I'm shocked!"

"No, I...am...mostly guileless. I wouldn't no trickery if I saw it...unless it was on you, then I would know it."

He blinked. "I see." Hayato nodded a bit to himself. "You know you're really cute sometimes Shoan-san."

"Mmmmm....." He eyed the Lion for a few moments a playful smile on his lips.

"Okay, I'll trust you that one... Shoan-chan."

Hayato offered the Lion an affectionate bump on her armored shoulder with his fist. Though he didn't bother to speak, instead letting the Lion recover.
