Hyeon-ju observed the interaction of the Crabs, seemingly fleeting and without much committment to those around them. The Spider girl was dismissed as one of those edgy teen-girls trying to make up for a lack of personality.

Seeing that the conversation had moved on, so did she and she moved to claim a vacant seat, depositing her jacket on it to make clear it was claimed. She didn't have any intention of sitting just yet, as she knew how uncomfortable those seats were.

A notification beep from the jacket's pockets interrupted her next course of action, and in pursuit of the beep rummaged through the pockets to pull out... a Kami-Pet. There was a faint smile on her features as she held the little device in her hand and pressed the buttons to interact with the kami-pet.

Tetsu nods with a twinkle of amusement in his eyes and gives an aside glance to Tsukiko.

"As an engineer, those calculations check out"

He gave her a simple smirk on that comment. He trusted in the enlcosed saftey of a car far more than the sucidally danger of riding a bike. But she was a Hida and he was a Yasuki. Of course she liked the danger and the adrenalin.



"Ohh another engineer? That's very intersting. So many talented people on this miai." Nishida commented

Bikes were fine, but fighters were way cooler. At least she thought so, but it seemed... rude to insert oneself into the Crab-talk.

With the Kami-Pet tended to for now, she continued observing the rather spirited conversation. At least she was learning some about these potentials coming to this miai. An engineer wouldn't be bad overall, but not nescessarily something of great interest.

At least she could give an approving nod to the Kuchiki for sitting silently and waiting for take-off. It seemed the conversation had picked him up and suddenly left him by the wayside too, just like what happened to her. Drive-by Crab-conversations?

Satoru would see the nod from the corner of his eye but being, well, him he didn't try to engage further just returning the nod and continuing to read about a new surgical procedure designed to fix congenital defects brought on by exposure to some special radiation that can be found on some worlds in lesser explored regions of space while pregnant.

"Perfect, the more the merrier, right? If anyone else wants to join, don't forget to trade contact information with me!"



A raised eyebrow, a confused grin. The tea couldn't have already gone bad this early into the morning... Or perhaps Spider are all just weird like that. Well, there's no harm in indulging in some craziness this early.

"You want to see my mask? Hmm, okay, but no touching!"

She dangles her mask in front of Nara, seemingly teasingly swaying it back and forth, though it might actually be because of the rumbling of the shuttle.

Nara followed the mask for a few moments, head tilting from side to side, before a smirk as she brought her gloved left hand up, slowly taking it off to reveal a pale hand and a swirl in the middle of it. The green of Jade clearly standing out tattooed into her skin.

"Satisfied?"

Shifting her jacket aside, Hyeon-ju seated herself in the uncomfortable seat and pulled out her densai as well. Making notes was one thing, but perhaps she'd get a chance to at least get introductions from the Spider who had been so rudely treated.

Not that she was particularly fond of the Spider Clan personally, but a samurai was supposed to have better manners than that.

Hyeon-ju opened up the wireless connection, checking to see if the only other person working on their densai now was available at least for contact.

His densai was indeed opened to the local network using the local connection to download articles and surf the web. He noticed someone else connect to the network and using astute skills of investigation figured it was the person on the shuttle who had also just pulled out their densai. The Unicorn was an unknown quantity, rigid and a little cold but then again Satoru himself had been described as cold once or twice before.

Best practice as a spider in other clan territory was let others contact first as attitudes on Spider tended to range from ignore them to look for the first excuse to kill them immediately.

Interesting.

It would be a tactical decision to approach all participants for this miai, one way or another. To be more aware of the various clans and what they were seeking. And well... perhaps some Spider saw the light and were here in hopes of being saved from their current lot in life.

So, at least she sent a contact-request:

Hmm seems he wasn't the only one that described her as a little cold. You don't have a nickname like that unless you've embraced it. Satoru thought for a beat, she was pretty cute......what the heck.

In a conversation, she might've chuckled, but instead her face remained perfectly stoic, which gave no indication to on-lookers of what she might be doing.

Unusual indeed but actually not as unwelcome as some might think. Interaction through a screen was a touch easier for the Shugenja than face to face conversations.


He gulped just a touch as he wrote the last line but the divide of the screen was just enough to embolden him to make the statement.

"Oh, that's pretty. Yeah, thanks, Spider-san!"

Satisfied, she goes back to her densai, hugging it as close to her chest as possible to mitigate the vibrations of the ship as she continues her sketch of Akemi.

Nara slowly put her glove back on, checking it a few times before peeking back at the Scorpion.

"Ooo, an artist?"

"Yup! Just an amateur one though. I like drawing people and backgrounds when I can, mostly people though. What kind of stuff do the Spider do?"

"The Spider do what the Spider do. Conquering, clearing the bad worlds so the Empire can have more planets. The usual. I'm not a fighter though, I'm an actress!" Nara gave another bow to the woman as she didn't think the woman had introduced herself "Susumu Nara, at your service" she giggles.

"...Bayushi Tsukiko, likewise."

Something about that name was familiar though... She's a Spider though, why would the name be familiar? Wait, could she be..?

"So you said you're an actress? ...What roles have you played?"

"Roles? I'm still young, but I played the same role for the last few years. A lead role in fact!" Nara grinned "I don't know if it was shown outside of Spider networks. It should have, it was great. The show was called Teenage Demon Hunter."

One of her neat eyebrows rose. It was a bold statement to make, one she doubted the meek doctor would have asked otherwise face-to-face. At least with the Crab listening in.

But now she had to say something flattering in return, she felt.
