Yul grinned as Hide chose Eriko. "Well, I saw that one coming. I just hope she can keep Kuni-san out of trouble."

And another smile as Ichika and Shion were matched. "That's good, too. Do you know Suzume-san well? I was hoping Ichika-san would find a good match for herself."

Eriko smiled warmly when she was picked by Hide and she felt obligated to give a bow when her name was mentioned. When she straightened from her bow, she gave a small shake of her head with a faint chuckle. You mad, crazy, silly girl...You must be clever enough to have a plan for me.

"Shinjo-san, I do plan to stay out of trouble," she said she strode over to where he stood when she heard him.

"And good afternoon, Nakauchi-san," she greeted them with a bow, looking at both of them one after another, "Congratulations to you both, had this thing been something for a while?"

Nara giggled, shaking her head as she looked around.

"Not me! Although in the second season the demon lords minions sent shapeshifting creatures, so maybe some people have been replaced? It's just a TV show though!"

She then turned back to Fusako, smiling more.

"I'm glad. Really. I knew it wouldn't be in my hands who picked me, as an actress doesn't seem to be highly valued by the Phoenix, so I prayed that you would pick me. It seems someone was listening though, so I was thanking them and you. Now for the future, ne?"

Mumei did not pump her fist and cheer for her rommmate, even if that felt like the appropriate response for that pair, while Ichika's announcement made her smile in surprised delight. "Oh, that will be a great match! I'm really glad they could both find someone artistic. I think they'll be really happy."

She bows as Eriko approaches. "Congratulations Kuni-sama. You might stay out of trouble, I'm not sure Hide-san's capable of it. Might consider one of you picking up a bit of medical training." She's _mostly_ teasing.

At the question though, she looks up to meet Yul's eyes, expression softening. "A while? Yeah. Half the miai, I guess?" Felt like only days, and much longer at the same time.

"I think that might be good for him. Get him out of his shell a bit more, perhaps. He's a quiet, introspective person, but my impression of him was that he does care." And for a time this miai, she had even considered him, but bringing home a Spider would've been a hard pill to swallow for her lords and for her family. And she knew he would have a hard time there as a former Spider... many people had lost friends and loved ones to the Spider's raids...

As Ichika picked the Suzume, Hyeon-ju at least felt relieved that the precious Doji hadn't been snatched up by some of the more terrible elements of the miai that would treat her less than she deserved.

"Indeed. Glad to know it's not a show, just a few loose masks. Hmmmm... how many movers will I have to send to get together all your things I wonder?"

Yul chuckled. "Well, you know what they say about plans, Kuni-san." A brief pause. "I'm glad to see you're okay. And congratulations to both of you."



Yul smiled as their eyes met. Down at his side, his hand twitched; he pressed it against his leg instead. "Yeah. Depends on when we're counting from, but definitely a while." Maybe it all started when she pulled him up onto that roof...

He cleared his throat, looking back at the other pair. "About as long as the two of you, yeah?"

"I don't really understand why everyone was so angry. I tried to follow it and got confused" Nara said with a shrug "seems calmer though! Oh, my things? Not many! Depends how big they are, it's mainly clothes, I don't own many things. Just clothes, and more clothes. My brothers might send some books with me so that I read more, not that I read them at all before, but I'll have to learn how Crane programming is so I know if I need to adjust my acting. Then I can get your wonderful designs on the bigger stage!"

She nodded softly. "I'm used to moving clothes, so that should be easy enough. I have plenty of books though, so that might not be necessary."

She paused, grinning a bit. "You'll have to do your own research on Crane programming, but I trust you'll do just fine."

Nishida took out a cig of his own and lighted it.
He wanted to scream like the lion did. He wanted to light the place on fire as a shugenja might could.

Hide gave Mumei and Yul a good solid wave and a huge grin. Though, her focus was on her newly betrothed who had joined in conversation with the happy couple. “I’m so happy for you both. You both are going to be the cutest Unicorn couple I can imagine.”

"Thats good to know, I don't know what my cousin will think about joining the Soider but she is a practical woman. She'll make it work." Still he'd miss the chats they would have in the base when they both got the chance to meet off duty.

Ichika received a warm smile, if not for Hyeon-ju that would of been the match he made today. The short Crane deserved happiness and he hoped she would find it with the sparrow.

Seeing the smile, she too smiled though a bit more reserved, keeping her On still going strong here at this gathering.

"We should keep in touch with Ichika-san after this, I think. She's a really nice person. I never got the chance to meet her chosen one though."

"Yes, she's a sweet girl, if things were just a little different I'd likely be standing by her side instead." Hayato looked towards his intended eyes, trying to gauge what she thought of that.

"I don't know Suzume-san either, but I have seen her preform a few times. She has a dedication to the arts that I think will match Ichika-san well."

"Is that so?" Her eyebrows rose in surprise, but what followed was approving nods. "I know she would have been treated well then, given the respect she deserved."

Eriko smirked at Mumei and gave it a shrug, "Well, I'd consider getting into anything a joint effort now. As for medical training, that's something I should look into. The Kuni do have a proud background in medicine and being a witch hunter shouldn't excuse me from dabbling into that skill. It really cuts down the complications when you can do it on your own, right?"

"Thank you Nakauchi-san and there she is," she smiled at Hide, "You know, you looked better out there in uniform than my hands in pockets. It's a good thing they pushed out you there instead of me.

“This uniform has gotten a lot of use here. We met while I was in it,” she said as she puffed out her chest in pride. While it was true that her uniform was what she wore on the shuttle, Hide was very disheveled at that point. “Still, you would have looked amazing out there as well. At least I think so.”

"It wouldn't exactly be intimidating if I couldn't even break them," Nozomi said with a smirk. She looked around at the matched couples with discerning eyes. By the end, she simply sighed out of relief. "The suspense is over. Now all that's left is picking up the pieces."

Shoan chuckles quietly, picturing bouncing glances.
"Hai, the suspense is over. I'm sure there will be more than a few broken hearts tonight. But mine is not one."

"Yes, until last night Ishiyo-san was my first choice and Ichika-san my second." He looked at her eyes and smiled warmly. Leaving off the ending she likely knew was coming. That everything had changed in mere moments.
