It didn't go unnoticed, but she didn't move her knee away from him. Just letting it be a... completely natural thing!

"It's alright... it's just harder to decide on duets since so many of them are sappy love songs." Hyeon-ju gave the list a scrutinizing look.

"Mmm.... You're right there." He glanced over towards Yul and Mumei. "But that just might be why our friends like them so much."

He took another of drink of his beer. "We can probably figure something out though."

"Hmm. Doesn't have to be duets...but I liked how they're connecting. The songs, that is. You're not required to follow suit after. Should be fun, not a chore." She stands for this one, waving Yul up as well. It was just impossible to not move with this one.

It's also hard to truly dance, sharing a mic, but she got as close as could be managed, her range of movement far superior to her vocal range. The hard part was actually toning that down. She kept her eyes on the karaoke screen rather than Yul's for the most part, or they were going to make people uncomfortable without touching at all.

The actual singing was...ok...on her end. Her heart was obviously with the movement and whatever odd criteria had led to picking the song in the first place. It was...not actually sappy, not entirely appropriate, and definitely better after those drinks than before.

It wasn't the first time that Yul and Mumei had danced, one way or another. And he'd suggested that he'd follow her lead. Of course there was going to be a physical component.

Just as with Mumei, Yul was a better dancer than he was a singer. And even if unfamiliarity mean that he had to keep his eyes almost entirely on the board, Yul had been learning to anticipate Mumei pretty well. They fell into the rhythm of the song together quite naturally.

"Wow," Yul murmured as the song finished, chuckling softly. "So that's what the lyrics were? No wonder I never heard that at the Academy."

Karaoke and dancing weren't things she had thought to combine before, but somehow Mumei at least manages to pull it off. Probably because she actually seemed to know what she was doing most of the time when it came to performing.

"Yul, I'll be expecting you to keep up with your intended in the future when it comes to performing," she teased him with a wry smile as she applauded the couple's efforts.

"He's going to have to put a lot of effort in if he intends to do just that." Mumei was good at the dancing and even the singing, not that they were bad together though.

A round of applause was given as they finished, and he moved to take a drink of his beer. Which was emptying a bit quicker then the one before.

"mmm, he keeps up on the floor really well. I kind of credit good reflexes there," the Osprey says after sitting and clearing her own throat with a drink. her glance at Yul holds memories of the dances they've shared already.

"You'd probably be good at it too, Utaku-sama. Do you dance for fun, or just.." she gestures around the booth, "unwind with song?"

"Both, really, I suppose. But I'm not much of a dancer, to be honest, as Hayato-san can attest to," she didn't mind admitting her own flaws there, even chuckling dryly at her own expense. "I like music, but more in the kind that I admire it and the artists a great deal - I'm not much of a performer myself."

Her own beer was also going down pretty fast, but that's usually how it was with drinking. At least she had a pretty sturdy constitution when it came to this.

"Have you found a song you like?" she asked Hayato, leaning a bit closer to see what he might be looking at on the list of options.

To be honest he had been a bit distracted by how near the Utaku was and if he was truthful his eyes hadn't only been on the pages of the book this entire time.

"I think I've narrowed it down a bit." He admitted after a few moments. "If you want to do another duet." His eyes shifted to hers for a moment. "I think one of these might be nice." The Mantis said putting out a few choices.

Seeing some of the choices, Hyeon-ju raised a hand to partially contain her smirk. "That one," her finger tapped on one of the highlighted choices.

It would be... not exactly something anyone would expect from them. Especially her. So far they were skillfully avoiding the sappy love duets.

Hayato's own smirk wasn't concealed and without thinking he gave the Utaku nudging her shoulder with his own. "Yeah, I thought that would be just perfect." He confirmed as he dialed in the selection.

It was an oldie probably one everyone recognized, and certainly not a sappy love song. It did suit them though, as a couple in its playfulness. The pace of it was one Hayato's singing voice could keep up with too, and his performance was actually pretty good.

Yul had settled down next to Mumei again, on the totally actually really too small couch that kept them pleasantly hip to hip.

He laughed as they performed the song, clapping as they finished. "Pretty good, you too." He smirked at Hyeon-ju. "Maybe you and I should do that one sometime, huh?"

Settled close on the couch, Mumei laughs at the song choice. It's silly and cute, and perfect for the night. "I mean...that's maybe not...ok yeah sometimes that's fun for dancing too."

"Silly Cricket, I already know I can do anything better than you." Hyeon-ju smirked confidently as she gave the mic a twirl in her hand.

"Well. Almost anything, I suppose. I'll admit that much."

"Mmm... I'd say that you're better then him in the singing department." He smirked, and downed the rest of his beer. "That may just be personal preference though."

Glancing around the table and the number of half empty drinks, he slowly rose to his feet. "Maybe I should go get us another round though." He moved to collect any empty glasses. "Anyone care for that cider Nakauchi-san mentioned?"

Obviously the Osprey is interested, she suggested it. "Occasionally better. I've never trained so it's...an unreliable skill at best, you know? But it's fun."

Kicking off her sandals, she pulls her legs up to sit cross-legged, more comfortable but definitely demonstrating the roomy-ness of the couch designed for a max occupancy of 6.

Seeing as Mumei had been shooed off earlier to help Yul, it would be weird if Hayato was sent alone for more drinks.

"I can help you with that, Hayato-san." A look over her shoulder was given to Yul and Mumei, followed by a knowing smirk for a brief moment. "Maybe they'll tire themselves out with all the duets while we're getting more drinks. And I would like to try the suggested cider too."

"Almost anything, huh?" Yul flashed a grin at Hyeon-ju. "We're gonna have to see about that."

To Hayato, he nodded casually. "I'd like to try it, anyway." His casual expression remained as Hyeon-ju offered to join him.

"Thanks, Hyeon-ju-san." Hayato replied with an easy smile as he made his watmy towards the door. "Two ciders then or three?" He asked glancing towards the Osprey.

"I know at least I'm sticking to beer."

"Hmm? Oh, sorry. Cider for sure. It sounded interesting." She shakes her head to clear it a bit. "Thanks for checking!"
