Formal wear laid out on her bunk for later, the Osprey picks through the detritus of the trip. Koseki's pamphlets, a variety of plushies, ruined clothing not yet discarded. What will fit in one bag and some pockets? With a tiny bit of sorrow, she sets aside the rainbow lizard onto her pillow. Those wire-cored frills were going to be bent beyond repair stuffed into a sack. She's not sure if the group Otori plushie was taken by anyone, or left in the ATV for the rental agency to claim.

There was no happier Lion than Hide. She entered the room, a huge stupid grin across her lips. “Mumei-saaaaaan! There you are! I want to thank you and invite you to my wedding! Oh! No. We should have a double or even triple wedding!”

She wasn’t drunk, except perhaps on life.

Sitting back from her packing, Mumei grins happily up at her roommate. "hah, good luck getting our clans to settle on that, just, try not to set the date too soon. I'm not going to have leave time for a bit if I'm going to be NavCom certified in time for my own."

"Congratulations though. There's a half dozen of us breathing sighs of relief that you two finally got settled."

“Awww, well, invite it is. Try and give you enough time for that thing you just said.” Hide grinned, eyes settling on the suitcase. “So, heard about you and Yul from Koseki-san. Something about a drifter attack? Well, regardless, Yul-san’s a good friend and I’m glad my friend and my other friend are happy together.”

"Thanks! And yeah, that attack caused the scratches, Kuchiki-san was patching up the other night." She's quiet a minute. "We were both very nearly dead there. But...now I know I have reserves I hadn't expected." With a decidedly knowing grin, she adds. "I don't recommend you and Eriko almost die. But should that come up, umm...afterward can be pretty amazing."

"I hope Kuchiki-san's match works well for him. I know I should be more worried about how it grows political ties, but...it's one pair and I wish him well."

“Yeah, he went for a Mantis, yeah? Should be fine for him.”

“I mean, you might recommend us not almost dying but it’s already happened,” Hide said with a huge grin. “Thanks, by the way. Even if things were made awkward by some overzealous friends of mine, it sure helped getting the message out to Eriko. I have to say we’re both not the best at flirting.”

"It has? How did you not end up kissing then?" Mumei's hands lift, dancing as she speaks. "It's just...all the adrenaline, and the knowing that you almost ended before getting to do that, and they're _right there_. Like...who needs to flirt when you can just see that 'I need to touch you because that was almost taken away forever' in their eyes?"

Hide certainly looked a bit red at Mumei’s rather personal description. “Well... I, well... There were people around. And I wouldn’t do anything improper in public...”

Though she was obviously imaging it.

"Hmm," Mumei nods, "And this is why next time..." like there was going to be a next time, "You bring your gravely injured paramour back to the room you share with two healers who are very likely to give you some privacy once nobody is on death's door." She calmly folds thin bits of shiny costume into tiny rolls to tuck into corners of her bag. The fluffy rainbow tail doesn't fold so much as tuck in between things.

"I won't be here tonight, by the way, if you want to arrange anything, you only need to check in with Satoru-san," she says casually as she continues packing.

"Any idea how long they'll take to get the wedding arranged?"

Oh, how Hide would very much like to make use of the free room, but that wasn’t a certainty. Plus, it wasn’t going to be too long until they’d be married and have their own space.

“Hmmm... Three months if our families are quick. Six months at the latest.”

"6ish here, I think. I need to finish training, and the Unicorn will certainly prefer a fully trained Navigator to a half-trained one." She sighs. "So there's a while to wait after tonight."

"She's joining the Matsu?"

“Yup. She’s gonna become Matsu Eriko!” Just saying that felt almost dream-like to Hide. Which was very evident by the large goofy grin that had found itself on her face. “I hope she doesn’t mind Matsu Prime.”

"What's Matsu Prime like? And, well...she's got to like it better than here." She tucked the sparkly headband with its little golden horn and soft ears into the bag, carefully padding it with other clothes around it.

“Densely populated cities. The rest is a bunch of mines, many of which are abandoned.” Definitely a different planet from Asakaze, that’s for sure. “Hopefully my apartment situation gets an upgrade, since going to be married.”

Mumei looks thoughtful. "Huh. That sounds about as stark as most ships. Which...is a big adjustment for groundlings, I've found. So yeah, she might need some adjustment if her home has more nature, like this one."
