"Mmmmm.... If only catching the heart of a lady was nearly as easy." Hayato replied with a soft chuckle. "But honestly I hope so? I've never been a husband before so I imagine ut will take some getting used to.

"I understand that... still, you've done well enough that you'll get to pick someone, right? I imagine you should have some people in mind regardless."

She wasn't sure what people Hayato might be interested in otherwise, but there were also pragmatic concerns one could focus on for marriage, right?

"Yeah, I've got a couple." He offered her a lopsided smile. "Neither will be offering me a poem today. That has little to do with marriage though."

His smile turned a bit warmer. "Whoever i choose we'll have time for all that later anyways."

Setting the kitten down on one of the couches, Tenma sat as well, cross legged on the cushion as she looked at Hayato. Her free hand picked up a small plush rat that had been batted across the couch earlier apparently, stuck as it was partially between two couch cushions, Nyanni stared at it as she waved it by it's tail without looking the kitten's direction.

"Would you like a poem now?"

Hayato took a seat on a chair across from the couch. "From a woman who's match is certain?"

He shook his head "No, but thank you." He offered her a warm smile m. "You're truly kind for offering though."

A nod.

"I expected as much. But I had one in mind, so I thought I'd offer. I suppose I'm not much of a poet though, so perhaps it's for the best I don't practice on you."

"If it's practice?" He smiled. "I suppose I can accept it, I'd just be treating you a bit like one of my kid sisters at that point." He teased.

"Or a friend i suppose."

A nod, still petting the kitten who had crawled up on to her lap along with the rat toy.

"Shot through the heart
and you're to blame
You're a cupid
in all but name.

...I think it could use some work, but it has a sing song quality to it, no?"

He smirked at that, but didn't laugh. It was a bit silly though, and not exactly a typical type of poem

"It does, which makes it remind me of you." Which was important at least to him. "It's kinda like putting your signature on it."

A brief light blush.

"I suppose you have a point there..."

She looked down at the kitten.

"I think I'll call him Nyanni, for a multitude of reasons. As long as you don't object."

"Nyanni?" He looked at the little kitten. "No objections here." It was even pretty close to Nyankun 2 (temp)

He offered the red head a smile. "I did like your poem though, as I said. It was fun and not quite what you expect. Which is what I've found you to be in all out meetings."

"What's the point of saying you love someone with a poem if it's not fun and it's not a part of you. If you spend all your time being flowery and trying to impress them, then you're just showing them someone else."

"Can't say that I am enough of a poet to comment of that one." Not that he intended to write any love poems anyways.

"But I can agree with what you're getting at. You need to be you when you tell someone you love them, and not just half of you, or part of you, but the whole you."

"Then again, I know they say not all relationships are meant to be blessed by Benten, so maybe some of it is just for showing off, and that's okay? Anyways, I'm happy you liked my silly little poem. Thank you."

The kitten was starting to fall asleep on Tenma's lap, and she looked down at it with a soft smile.

"Yeah, that's true enough." Hayato agreed with a nod. "From what I understand some relationships are cursed by her."

"Not that I'm saying that you and Moto-san are like that. I just know there are a few here I would not want to marry." A few names in particular came to mind, not that he was going to mention them.

"And I won't give any opinion on the matter; I'm not exactly an impartial mediator or nakado, so... Anyways, thank you for putting up with me this whole time, and for looking after this poor thing."

The kitten was definitely asleep at this point.

"I think I'll stay here and let him sleep. You should go wash the cat hair off and maybe find something to take so you can feel better, neh?"

"Likely so." Hayato replied, looking over towards the kitten. "Send me a picture of him from time to time will ya?"

Raising to his feet he offered the Scorpion a bow. "Thanks for deciding to take care of him, Bayushi-san. Enjoy your day, okay?"
