The Spider was charmed by the Crane's innocent offer of an indirect kiss, and took it, sipping from the same can.

"Hmm, probably a local plant, I'd probably guess a relative of the durian. Kind of that mix of sweet and bitter, you know?" he guessed.

"Yea," she said, tapping her chin. "A weird combination.. and well, the can isn't marked either so.. seems kinda strange in that regard too, right? You'd think it would be marked at least a little? Branding.. something.."

A small shrug.

"A further hint that it's a local product. If it had shipped here, it'd need some sort of label. But I could see someone starting production of a new product and holding off on branding. More of a test of their capabilities to produce, and have a chance to get some feedback than commit themselves to a given brand. After all, once it's named, it's stuck for better or worse." he suggested.

"What would you call it, Doji-san?"

"Hmm," she thought, tapped her chin. While she thought though, "Well, still seems rather strange, no? Wouldn't be able to get the attention it earned if it tasted really good to someone!"

"Now.. if I was going to name this.." she twisted her lips, "hmm, maybe, Bittersweet Sunrise," she immediately looked to Tsugiharu to see what he thought.

Tsugiharu tried picture the lable.

"Hmm, Bittersweet Sunrise. Doji Ichika says it's taste: 'Indescribable'." he pitched.

He chuckled.

"Branding is hard, isn't it?"

"Suppose they wouldn't have Samurai take part, school in it and work toward it, if it wasn't a task worthy of their effort or time," she said, a soft smile.

"What would you name it Kuchiki-san?" she furrowed a brow.

Tsugiharu gave the question due consideration.


"Ichika's Indescribable Invigoration." he decided on, curious what the Crane maiden would think of such a name.

"III, or eeee," she said with a giggle, promptly delivered into her sleeve. "That's a rather silly name, and I doubt my name-sake being attached would bring much attention," another soft laugh punctuated.

"Ah but you see, Doji-san, branding doesn't stop with the name. Instead of a blank can, a picture of a smiling Doji Ichika holding said can. It'd be the most popular drink on the planet in a matter of weeks." he suggested with a straight face.

Ichika looked down, a small awkward chuckle, "Yea, well," she shook her head. Looking up, a broad smile, "Well, maybe I haven't missed my calling as a model for such things yet?" she laughed, "Well, we'll have to see what my superiors say about it at least," another chuckle, this one buried in a sleeve.

It was a pity her laughter couldn't be recorded to go along with the can. It was quite....pleasing.

"We must all bend to the wishes of our superiors." he agreed. "Though the miai gives one a certain amount of....flexibility in their duties and their future. Besides visiting run down starcades, is there anything in particular Doji-san is looking forward to seeing?"

"Oh, so many things!" she said with quite the degree of excitement! "I'd love to see as much as I can of this world. What natural beauties it has, and maybe even some of the creatures that are native to it! Of course, I hear some are rather dangerous so I'm not so irresponsible to try and see one of those... though," she tapped her chin in thought.

"I suppose I have been offered a flight in one of those Ornithopters to see some more of the sights! That would be really cool," she said, a smile toward the thought. "Of course, seeing more of the city and the sights here would be wonderful too. I wonder how much of it I might be able to see before the Miai is over.."

It didn't surprise the Spider that the Crane would already have been offered an ornitohpter ride. She was likely to be highly prized as a match, even if the local governor thought she was as useful here as a shoji on a spaceship hull.

"Well probably Doji-san, as long as you're prudent with your time. As long as you attend the official events of the miai and make sure you're well rested enough for them, I don't see an issue."

He couldn't offer her a orthinopter ride, and for a brief moment, he was just a little bit jealous of that fact.

"Hm, in the interest of being efficient with your time, would you care to exchange communicator numbers? It might be useful if you wanted to do something like go for a drive to the lake." he offered.

"Of course!" she quickly dug inside of her purse, a small pastel colored affair. Pulling out the communicator she quickly popped it over to sync with practiced movements. Holding it out for Tsugiharu she said, "Feel free to send me a message, or call, whenever you're feeling like you wanna chat, yea?" with a smile.

Tsugiharu nodded, completing the exchange of communicator information.

"The same applies to you Doji-san. After all, I'm interested in seeing more of this world too. Having another person telling you about what they discover would surely be helpful in such matters." he offers.

"I'd be especially keep to see pictures of your flight, should you be able to take and send those."

"Oh!" she said, raising a hand, "That's a good idea! When I talk to one of those pilots I'll have to remember to bring my holorecorder," she smiled and then dipped her head, "Thanks! I'll be sure to send along anything good I take" she finished with a little laugh.

Tsugiharu nodded.

"I'll send to you likewise Doji-san." he offered. "Or perhaps to see if we can get a set of pins before the miai is over."

He honestly wasn't quite ready to say goodbye to the Doji yet for some reason, but he had a feeling like their time was drawing to a close.

"Please," she said, a smile, "feel free to message me anytime you might like to try again," a quick smile as she tucked her communicator away. "Well, suppose we should be getting on our way, yea?" she said with another small smile.

"See you around, Kuchiki-san?"

He bowed to her.

"You may count on it, Doji-san. May the light of the Wise One guide your path." he offered as a goodbye.

ichika smiled and returned the bow, giving a short wave as Tsugiharu departed from her. For a moment she looked down at her pin and rubbed it with a thumb. A quick nod to herself she collected herself up and moved off and out of the establishment toward the rest of her day.
