The Imperial stood near the cart in the mall known as Kashi-Wa, waiting for the invited mantis to arrive. He had not felt great about the Spider cutting in on the conversation with her, but fighting with a personality as big as hers was not something he was prepared to do in a free-for-all conversational setting.

To make up for it, he had requested the Moshi's presence for a meal at a local vendor he had heard about during his last visit to the mall, hoping to have a more full conversation with her.

The Moshi was not sharply dressed but nice shirt and a back skirt. "Konbanwa Hanako sama. I hope we will be pleasantly blessed by Inari no kami."

Bowing to the Moshi, he replies with a light tone. "From what I understand it's the Fortune of Sauces, if there is one, that blesses this particular cart." His smile is gentle as he offers to have her join him in approaching the cart.

"Well then... there is probably a fortune of sauces. Our ancestor liked to name fortunes." She chuckled.

When they got to the proprietor of the cart, Michiya ordered a couple of the only thing they had to offer for the pair of them. The man offered each of them their order and Michya moved out of the way of other customers.

"There are a lot of them that aren't even named. Fortunes of different locations and ideas that we pray and make offerings to without even truly understanding their nature. But they deserve respect regardless. My family made regular visits to Kobiru-Tadashiko's shrine in the capital, but we also maintained a small shrine in the castle as well."

The Moshi smiled. "There are an infinite amounts of things that one can make into fortunes. It is good practice to once one has been acknowledged, keep the proper respect and offerings." The priestess in her explained. She received the food and followed the Seppun. "Jow are you enjoying you stay?"

"Meeting interesting people, enjoying the local food. It's quite nice. I like being away from the bustle of the Imperial City honestly. Just confirms my expectation that I will enjoy travel a great deal," he says with a nod. "And what about yourself?"

"It is odd... the smell is weird. The people are very interesting." She nodded "As for traveling, well, it beats being in a frozen wasteland. The temperature is nicer here. But I do miss going to New Kalani or Dawn." She took a bite of the food. She cleaned some of the sauce from the side of her mouth. "Quite good."

Michiya eats a bite himself while she answers, and seems to enjoy it.

"I've never been to any place that was purely frozen, but we get cold winters in the capital. I must admit I'm not a big fan of the cold of the snow, but it is beautiful. Watching it fall is nice as well. More interesting than rain."

"Well then I came from Starnest, a frozen planet with an underground fishing colony. But Dawn might be a bit like the Islands of Silk and Spice with nice weather and frozen poles." Atena chuckled. "Oh I am so sorry I am rambling."

"That's fine. I like hearing about different worlds and places," he says with a smile. "What is an underground fishing colony like? Other than cold."

"Actually the layers of rock keeps the water in a template temperatures. The heat is trapped and keeps a very lovely atmosphere... well as lovely as a cozy biodome can be." She smiled. "It was great to feel the warmth of the bonfires and the heating lamps. Lady Amaterasu nor the Jade Sun can reach those parts... I know that Lady Amaterasu is no longer amongst the heavens but is just a family trait neh."

"I wouldn't even know how that works, but if she has reincarnated multiple times then it's possible that she eventually rejoined the heavens and joined her spirit with the Jade Sun. It's not something I'm fluent in and the heavens don't reveal all they know and understand to us, but she may yet be involved in her previous duties no?"

"I understand. Just the priestess in me trying to make sense of some things. How some traditions are hard to let go." She chuckled nervously. "I suppose so... for one can only speculate about the heavens and their plans."

"As long as we do our part to honor the heavens, the fortunes and the kami. Even if we don't do so in the correct manner, I suspect the heavens understand intent of mortals. Of course, it's always better to be correct and proper about it when we can, even if it's not always an attainable feat."

"Hai..." She nodded. "Continuing about the different planets... New Kalani would be a great place to visit if you like sea exploration... By the way what are your interest Hanako sama?"

"Technology and exploration are the main things that draw my interest, though I can't say I've taken up any real hobbies," he says with a shrug. "I found target shooting to be fun when I did my qualification course."

"Nice... I am into exploring. Mostly spiritual and mental exploration. Today went to the library and found a book I was looking for about psychology. I am exploring the mind."

"I've more been interested in the idea of exploring the empire, both the worlds and the culture of the different clans. But understanding the mind sounds interesting. It's not something I've looked into at all. Are you more interested in that for medical, self improvement or simply for knowledge's sake?"

"All of the above, Hanako sama." She took another bite. "Well exploring the clans and cultures is also a way of exploring the mind... one's purview of the different clans and what expect of them. Making it a social note in yourself... changing your perspective on the clans."
