"Oh, during debrief the Ikoma always have some event or other going on. Usually interactive stuff, or informator stars and the like. One Ikoma managed to get some... special dancers in for my unit," she let out a laugh. "Last I heard he ended up off front line assignments for a while after that."

"That's too bad, armies need people like that...well...", he thought about it. Yeah, some taisa had that Ikoma shipped to an HQ unit because he knows where to get the dancers. "Anyway, you mind sharing contact info, Matsu-san? Might come a time in our schedules for another conversation like this, or maybe a show, who knows."

"Hmm?" Nara turned round to look at Hide, tilting her head. "What's wrong? I guess the shot was a little off angle, but doing a spin and shot is really tricky, it took like three takes first time I had to do it in the show."

“Well, your shot was a bit off because your shoulders were slightly tilted. Solid form, other than that.” Hide mocked holding a rifle in the proper position. “It’s easy to slack the shoulders by mistake, especially while moving.”

"Oh. Hai, horribly off position because I rushed it" Nara nodded a few times, turning and taking it more seriously this time aimed up her shot. Holding her position better, the strike was much better than the last one.

"Not at all," she shook her head, walking over to her bag against the wall to grab her Densai. "I've met a lot of people so far who know how to 'talk shop,' as it were. Maybe with some luck, we can get a squad of people together to see a show and talk about our experiences." Her thoughts seemed entirely innocent indeed.

"Sounds good to me, you'll have to keep my posted on it", he said and took out his comm. He went through the UI until he opened a new contact slot.

There were still too many open for his liking.

“That’s much better!” Hide clapped her hands together in a congratulatory manner. “Beautiful shot. Looks like it hit a lethal zone from here.”

"Heeee, I'm not as awful a shooter as I look ne?" Nara posed with her rifle on her shoulder, smirking "and this is a special rifle too. You're meeting two celebrities at once!"

“Well, technically I met you last night. Today I’m meeting one while in the company of another.” Hide teased, as her eyes went up and down the Spider. “Hmmm... You both do look perfect together.”

"Do we?" Nara said, her smile growing at the compliments "I had to do a lot of posing for the posters on the show. It was a lot of fun, and this gun has a lot of history about it from before the show. It was my great great grandfathers gun, from my fathers family. So from the Crane, through these generations, now it's with me and staring in shows. Exciting!"

“Historied guns are always impressive. To think of how lovingly it must have been taken care of to still be in this great of condition...” Hide gave the gun a good inspection with her eyes, admiring the little details. “I see you take great pride in it, too.”

Nara took her rifle off her shoulder and held it out in her hands to let Hide examine it. The gun was clearly a much older design, and cared for extremely well. The wood had a pristine finish to it.

"It's very special to my family, and to me. Well, my father. My mother and my brothers don't care, they like it because of the fame that came with it. I like my father more for that reason" Nara shrugged "families, neh? I will make sure if when I become a parent I show interest in all my kids activities."

Family? Well, being a Lion, she didn’t spend much time with her parents. But what she does remember fondly was a family trip to the beach and her father swinging her by a leg. Typical Matsu dad.

“I don’t even know what kind of parent I’d be. Hmmm.” She rubbed her chin thoughtfully.

"You don't? Hmm" Nara also looked thoughtful "well, I've only known you for like half a day, but you seem the coaching type."

Hide stood up straight, hands on her hips, and chest puffed out proudly. “Coaching type, huh? I could even be a youth baseball coach!”

"A what?"

Blink blink.

"Oh like the movie yesterday? Why not instead be a weapons instructor? I think you'd be better and enjoy that more. Teaching the next generation to pew the enemy into oblivion, ensuring the glory of the Lion lives on. That sounds better, ne?"

She shrugged. “Who knows if I end up a Lion still after this? I might end up a Crab, or a Unicorn, or something else. Not sure if the Matsu would take kindly of disclosing Matsu training methods to the future generations of some other Clan.”

"Maybe even a Spider!" Nara said with a grin "just not a Dragon. Which is a good thing if you don't like tall mountains and sitting under waterfalls."

But probably not a Spider. “I’m starting to wonder if Dragon even exist. I haven’t seen one here.”

A pause, she contemplated asking a question and hoped that the Spider wouldn’t take it the wrong way. But thinking too much on things is for nerds. “So, find anyone you fancy yet, Susumu-san?”
