Fusako was usually trained by her personal trainer, but just because she was away from home didn't mean she could slack in her fitness regimen. Dressed in a full workout body suit, the Asahina was at one of the punching bags, training her punches and kicks with a Crane style jiujutsu. Her short hair bobbed with her movements, and every so often she stopped to wipe her face with a towel and take a much needed drink of water.

Not having the luxury of personal trainers, Geppu has to rely on his military fitness regimen to stay in shape. And so, he arrives in a set of casual clothing, helmetless. Leaving his boots at the dojo entrance and slipping on a comfortable pair of training shoes, he slips in. After finding a suitable training dummy and ditching his scarf and satchel, he begins a light workout routine of tumbling, stretches, and other assorted basic gymastics to loosen up. Afterwards, he begins a more intense routine at a nearby set of weighted bags, running through some of the brutal Spider hand-to-hand kata focusing on disabling strikes.

After working up a good sweat, he snags a simple black squeeze bottle from his satchel and downs some drink, slowing down his breathing and taking a look about the dojo. He'll give a nod to the Asahina present should she acknowledge his presence, but he wouldn't interrupt her training.

There was indeed a moment where Fusako kept working out, finishing a set of practice. Finally however she pause for a while and drink, giving Geppu a nod. "Susumu-san."

"Asahina-sama." He returns her nod and takes another drink from his squeeze bottle.

"Your movements indicate your skill. Crane martial arts are certainly more visually impressive than Spider ones...at least if the holos are to be believed. Do you do much sparring, or simply bag practice?"

"They serve my purpose quite well, regardless of their relative merit," she noted, hanging her towel around her neck. "I have an instructor that I spar with, but I'm not of a dojo, so I hardly have opportunity for doing so."

"Would you like to have a light sparring session then? Since you so often lack the opportunity. First to two touches?" He'll stand up once more after taking another drink from his bottle and then setting it down on his satchel.

"I'm no personal trainer, but at least it would offer...unique perspective."

She looked a little quizzical a moment before shrugging. "Sure, I don't mind. I don't think there's any question you'd get the two. I mostly do jiujutsu for calisthenics though, not for self defense."

Laying her towel to the side onto a bench, she rubbed the back of her neck and rolled her head to stretch it, preparing.

"If you'd prefer something more low impact, I wouldn't want to force you into anything. The Spider mindset is more...martial in outlook at all times." He'll pause for a moment before considering. "Actually, this might be an excellent opportunity for me to learn something of Crane ways. Would you mind running through a few of your kata so that I might observe?"

"I'm certain the magistrates and bushi that practice kaze-do see a more martial use for it, but I am hardly in a place to be punching my dresses." She smirked a bit before nodding and going through some simple, flowing kata. These were more stretches and loosening, as kaze-do's kata were. It was certainly graceful and poised, but showed little of the harder strikes she was giving the punching bag.

"That just means you need to formulate a combat ready line. Armor panels and the like...for your more martially inclined clients."

He manages a smirk for a moment before observing her kata, giving a few nods.

"Even when engaged in martial arts, it is difficult to remove the grace from the Crane. It appears my previous words regarding that matter were correct."

Fusako kept it up a moment more, speaking as she did so. "My father has some uniforms in his own lines, he does much more practical outfits like that, but I doubt we'll be getting into any sort of armor anytime soon."

She finally stopped and gave a slight bow. "From what I understand, kaze-do was designed to be flowing and graceful like the wind it's named after, for the purposes of ease of movement and natural adaptation to others."

"Always room for future expansion, I suppose. What sort of fashion do you prefer then, other than the outfits I have already seen?"

He continued to observe until she had finished and then gave a considering 'hmm'.

"That would make sense, given traditional Crane tactics. Deflection, outmaneuvering. A powerful strategy against an opponent who refuses to adapt."

"It is a primary technique for our magistrates, so it makes sense I suppose. It is a way to use an opponent against themselves." It took her only a moment to consider the former question.

"As for fashion preference... it may sound strange coming from a fashion designer, and one in the specific role of creating bold new outfits, but I prefer to see all sorts of clothes. For myself, I feel most comfortable with something stylish yet captivating, easy to wear and comfortable. I enjoy seeing others in something that makes them feel comfortable with themselves, no matter how simple or garish."

"I imagine that with trends coming and going quite rapidly, it pays to have an open mind about such things. One needs to be adaptable and if your designs can accomplish that while keeping up with what is 'chic', then I imagine you'll have an even brighter future ahead of you."

He grabs his squeeze bottle again and takes another drink.

"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all that."

"A quite apt saying for a miai Susumu-san," she noted. "What about yourself, hm? Surely you're not always dressed for training or duty. What do you like to wear when relaxing?"

"I try not to waste words unnecessarily, Asahina-sama. As for dressing casually or while relaxing?"

He considers, lifting a hand to his hair for a few moments, running through the ebon strands.

"I try to stay in comfortable attire. Where I was raised was extremely cold and I frequently find myself in cool environments, so I try to have something warm as well. Truth be told, I much prefer the cold than this heat. I can add more clothes or turn up heating. Once I have shed all of my clothing, there is little recourse beyond a cool bath to stay refreshed."

"A practical mindset," Fusako noted. "Isora's Rest is warm, though rarely hot, and never cold. I doubt you would feel too uncomfortable there. Plenty of cool ocean water to relax in too."

"Is that an invitation, Asahina-sama?"

He chuckles a bit and leans down, scooping up his satchel.

"I see no reason for it not to be. Isora's Rest always welcomes visitors after all, and I'm certain that you'd find yourself quite relaxed Susumu-san." She gave a slightly coy smile.

"I would be delighted to visit then. Perhaps if the Fortunes grant me the opportunity to find a suitable marriage, I can visit on a more permanent basis."
