As the group made their way toward the pagoda, one of the sliding doors to one of the doors shifted and closed shut. There was perhaps a glimpse of a young man dressed in similar garbs as Tsugumi.

Tsugumi seemed unphased by the abrupt and perhaps rude gesture, she turned toward one of the small statues perched on one of the rocky stumps. There seemed to be many of these formations leading the way toward the pagoda.

"Yes...This would be Mori no Reiou and the Fortune worshipped by our sect. The four arms aren't so unusual, especially compared to some of the manifestations of other Fortunes. In this case, it is perhaps where Mori no Reiou is both practical and symbolic. The Fortune possesses four arms of guidance as two arms are not enough for its reach over the domain of the wilderness here. Some would like to think that each arm lords over one element, just like the plentiful elements found here."

Now it was Tsugimi's turn to look a bit confused at the Hotaru. After a moment, she gave a shake of her head at the question. "No...ano, we have specifically chosen not to disturb the earth here. We've been making do with what we have. Most of the power comes from either the sun panels or on more cloudier days, we do burn some dry stalks for our generator. We're rather simple here and very unlike what you may be used to in Shiro Yaoke."

Truly, it seemed like the temple grounds here were part of another timeline and everything here was incredibly rustic.

"We do welcome visitors here, Nakauchi-sama," she nodded at the other woman. "I suppose we might not be the best receptionists all the time but we would welcome someone who especially wishes to commune with the elements here as we do."

As they walked, they pass back a portion of an outcrop of volcanic rock which hosted a roofed structure that was built right into the rock. It almost seemed like either the house was unearthed in an excavation or it managed to bloom from the ground. There were also several small huts and tents that seemed to be parked outside the entrance of this structure. There was a strange eerieness to the place at it almost seemed like they were the only ones here.

Having an essentially limitless power source and not using it was equally confusing to the Firefly. He shrugged. "Well, it sounds like you have plenty of options at least."

As they wandered around the grounds his attention was drawn to the curious house. "Huh. That's quite something. Looks natural, you must have had some impressive architects back in the day."

He nodded absently as she spoke about the elements and the four armed statue. The eerie village reminded him of a particularly chilling episode of Seppen Benteno Investigates...

"My apologies, Hotaru-sama...I suppose that realm is outside of my expertise. The elders believe we do well enough with what we have here. Truly, I believe they are correct. And hai, the communal hall is an impressive testament of the founders and it was said that they constructed everything their own labour, samurai alongside monks and heimen. The early days weren't easy and they are honoured today for giving us this wonderful sanctuary."

There was a laboured dry cough from the hut earlier but Tsugumi continued further to the pagoda. It was an impressive five-story structure that looked traditionally built, much like the rest of the compound. There were two monks standing in the open, draped with pale yellow robes and assuming guard positions. Their size would almost indicate that they were more sohei than just mere contemplative monks.

Izumi might have communed with the Earth there and then, but he minded his manners of being in someone elses building with them present. The Kitsune would have gone mad if someone turned up in Kyuden Kitsune and started summoning kami without good reason or permission.

Also dayflip had happened so he couldn't roll anyway.
